Was on the other forum for a while but left them for various reasons and when I wanted to come back it was a ghost town and I saw this was the new place to be lol
3 tanks is enough for me right now!
The 1.1 gallon pico is the easiest though! 5 min a month tops

It’s getting full. Maybe already full. I have some acros coming next week and only 3 mounting points. Had to buy a frag shelf but with “forever home” in mind so these frags have a place to grow out and not be 1” from the glass

I'm a sucker for acans! I remember when they aussie "lords" first started coming into the hobby. They we're mostly grey and green with touches or red and orange and we had never seen anything like it! The hype was real! HA!

I remember when just green or red ones were hard to get !
I had 3 mini colonies (center, sandbed level) 15+ years ago! These were considered high end!

I gave it a quick read and I had a couple of questions:
-Why don't you run the skimmer ? Not enough fish I guess ?
-Do you run C02 scrubber ?
-Do you run activated Carbon ?
-I also don't have a filter sock or floss in this tank, how do you handle the amount of detritus in the sump ? Leave it be ?

I have 7 fish
Tomini tang
Male lyretail anthia
Female lyretail anthia
Purple firefish
Lemon damsel
Banana coris wrasse
Cardinal fish
I view the skimmer as a device that removed coral food from my water. I struggled with bottomed out nutrients so I took the skimmer offline, it didn’t help, then I started increasing fish count, which did help.
I don’t run a co2 scrubber
As for activated carbon, I do use two bags of chemipure elite which contains carbon. Each bag is rated for 50 gallons. I replace them one at time every 3 months
I leave the detritus be, it forms mulm, an important part of a natural ecosystem
