Time for my two favorite Ws... whisky and water change.

But first, dinner... chili con carne, theres a 22oz sirloin in there, with sauteed bacon and onions. Its finally autumn here and I felt like cooking a big pot of chili. SC weather goes from 90 to 55 like it just saw a State Trooper.

Pumped out sump. Removed and scrubbed skimmer, carbon reactor, heater and return pump. Cleaned walls of sump. Vacuumed out detritus from skimmer and return chamber. Loaded reactor with fresh carbon. Put everything back in and filled sump up with fresh salt water.

Whew, where is my whiskey?

It hasn't been cleaned since the tank was set up. It was beyond time.

Oh, and I was preparing for this.

Nice vendor list. All the locals, JKR, Aquarium Specialty, Fishy Buisness, Leon's Lagoon... plus Jason Fox, Spike's Corals, Jamrock, Reefshine Guys and more. Pretty nice vendor list this year. I may just spend too much tomorrow.

Spikes showed up to the smokey mountain expo we just had, nice corals. Anything your targeting in particular?

I was stopped at a red light behind this guy yesterday on my way home from work and immediately thought of Robin.

I zoomed in the best I could.

Can you read the sticker on the bottom right of the rear window?

I saw a few teaser pics of corals people were bringing. Some real nice trachys, scolys, meat coral and acans from one vendor. Hopefully they have some nice prices.

Those, plus bright colored favia, pectinia, platygyra, possibly chalice and of course zoas are always on the list.

Moonshine life! Nice. I had a sample of blackberry shine while I was at the distillery. Very good stuff. Oh, let me tell you something. Ole Smokey has a salty watermelon and a caramel apple whiskey. Both of them are 60 proof, and you can't taste a bit of alcohol in either one. Dangerous jolly rancher tasting whiskey... I could get toe up from the flo up on that caramel apple whiskey.

I’ve never been one for the hard stuff. But every time we go to Gaitlinburg I look for to sampling the amazing flavors they come up with.

It’s a true art form.
