I've got both Ca and Alk set up on the Jebao. 4ml calcium carbonate at 2300 and 4ml of soda ash at 1100. Alk has been fairly stable, had that one salinity swing then the dosing tube came off the pump and missed a day. That's the drop to 8.0 a few days ago. My target was 8.0, but if it wants to sit at 8.2 then it sits at 8.2... Just set up Ca on dose tonight, so I'll test again in a few days and see where we are.

JKR Apocalypse Now... we got this in the JKR live sale at the beginning of August. I tried to kill this one, good thing I managed to screw that up. Color is a little washed(refer to previous sentence) but I included a pic of mother colony.

I've treated it with fluconazole. Within 14 days it should be eradicated...You need to try and manually remove that guys, imo, most cuc prefer young growth, you will also be able to see if it survives or not at the "grass roots" level!
I don't think anyone has found a CUC member that will touch bryopsis. All my GHA is gone.

I know, I don't do "cures" as additives, I really hope it works for you, pulling it off manually makes it weaker!

Not dying yet, those white specks in the first pic are pods of some kind. I can see them moving around.

Just remembered I had a digital thermometer. Pulled it back out at 95°. Backed the jars up and moved the light a bit further away.

Shipment has arrived! Ok, so what did we get? We ordered a trio of black leopard wrasse. Macropharyngodon negrosensis. Funny thing, the scientific name for the leopard wrasse genus means 'big throat teeth.'
Anyway, we had one DOA. The bag had a small puncture and altho it was still full of water, I think some gas exchange occured. It was the largest of the three around 3", the other two are around 2".
One of the survivors looked really healthy and dove into the sand as soon as she was released, never was able to get a picture. The other was pretty dazed and took about 15 minutes to come to. It moved around a little, but just laid against the rock and the glass. When I went to check on it a few minutes later, it had already buried itself. They are both burried over on the left side of the tank.
Next challenge, get them adjusted to their new surroundings, and out of the sand. I've got the little LED light on blues only on a timer so they can get adjusted to their new day/night cycle. Leopard wrasse are like alarm clocks and will get up and go to sleep at almost exactly the same time every day.
After that I should have a few baby brine shrimp that I will add to their tank and let them munch on while I try and get them on frozen. I have a pretty good plan on how to do that tho. Off to the LFS for another surprise.

Secret weapon... kind of an expensive fall back if my brine shrimp fail...
Oh, and we may have an addiction. I couldn't leave this guy at the LFS... @Scurvy will know exactly what it is.
