Yeah it's over today. I'm probably not going to introduce the fish back till this Saturday though. One, because I want to err on the side of caution. Second, I want to properly record adding them back in :D

I was super nervous about it and even waited 100 days - partly due to paranoia but mainly the fish in QT were not quite ready.

I've thought about it lol. I'm aiming for 80 days~ just to be safe. I have an exact date when my last fish was removed from the tank, so I know when it should be, but still, it's causing anxiety.

Some of my coral are suffering from the lack of nutrients too. It's been rough near the end.

I guess we are hijacking the thread but same here. I fed my tank etc but nothing compares to fish poop. I lost a couple of SPS toward the end and have been fighting ALK stability the past month. i think I am finally getting back on track but also plan to set up Coral QT so it will be awhile til more coral is added. Slippery slope but....

I've been dosing nitrates for the last 2-3 weeks. I've seen SOME improvement, but not a whole lot. Within the last week, I've now been throwing in fish food here and there to add even more nutrients for the bacteria. That reminds me, I should probably do a full ammona/nitrite/nitrate test on my tank before putting the fish in...

I'm having flashbacks from my bout with velvet last year. Only lost one fish, and an eel to carpet surfing, but man... went thru heck with the tanks. I had a 75 mostly FOWLR, experimenting with keeping coral, and evidently, feeding an anemone bits of frozen fish was enough to keep the velvet alive thru the fallow period, so it broke out again once fish were reintroduced. Had to set my 40B QT back up and remove all fish again which required removing rock again to catch them all. Cured it the second time and went double fallow while fish lived in the QT tank for the time being.

I also had an Innovative Marine 14g peninsula that I started really delving into keeping corals with. SPS dominant, and after a few months I found out that dosing didn't work and to do 50%(5g bucket) weekly WC and it started looking good. Both tanks broke out at the same time. Lost a VERY small coral beauty in the nano. After no fish for a few months my corals went from bright green birds nest and dark blue stylo, to like a sea foam and sky blue. Bonsai acro looked pink almost. The birds nest was almost white at one point until I started dosing NO3 and PO4.

I hate velvet. With passion.

I just remembered that I need a frag of GARF Bonsai.

Given this scenario, many folks would have toss in the towel but kudos to you sticking with it.

I'm a fish nut. Always have been. I've had at least one tank running for the last 10 years... more here and there before that. When I was a kid and didn't have money to buy expensive tropical fish, I'd go to the pond near my parents neighborhood and catch mosquitofish and warmouth bream and put them in my tank. Just dove into salt a year and a half ago after always wanting to.

Quit isn't an option.

dang man, that's crazy. I really want a GARF bonsai too! I have an unnamed acro from my LFS that looks SIMILAR, but not exactly the same.

Sorry about the brightness, this is a terrible picture I took with my phone.

Alright so we ordered clean up crew from @reefcleaners. The list goes like this...

50 nerites
25 ceriths
20 nassarius
25 blue legs
3 emeralds
1 brittle star

We also ordered fluconazole, a fl!pper magnet cleaner so the fl!pper nano can go back to the 35 cube and an Aquatop MR20 reactor off Amazon to put carbon in.

I have a monthly FTS on post #2 of this thread. Almost time for August's FTS.

The 35, well it looks exactly the same as when I set it up. The water is crystal clear tho. I mean you have to look to see the water in that tank. It may sit and mature for 6 months or better before I even buy a light and skimmer. I have the Eshopps curve in there over the refugium with a golf ball lump of chaeto. Other than an SW4 and a Sicce Syncra 3.0 that's all the equipment it has. Once a week or so I sprinkle a few pellets in there for the angel. She stays in the rocks 90% of the time and I hardly see her at all.

Took this last night. I was tired and just chunked a piece of LRS in the tank with the return in feed mode. Normally I thaw it out beforehand. Everyone jumped in on it before I could get my phone out. The leopard wrasse, who used to be really shy, was right in there with my female clown. Normally, nobody challenges her for food. She gets first pick right at the top of the tank. Everyone else gets seconds and thirds as they float down and around the tank.

Here is what happened after I got the phone out.
