I can vouch that @jsker has a workshop full of tools that is enviable!
Table saw and hand router is all that’s needed.. pretty simple.. I mean you could do the whole thing with just a router but a table saw or panel saw saves a lot of time cutting the square or rectangle to size..

I have done quite a bit of acrylic work, You sir take it to the next level with the tops.
I’ve been doing it for years! I used to be a mod on here and run the diy forum.. it’s my thang! ;)

Soooooo… I might be picking this dude up today.. I’m all over the place about it as he’s already large at 7” long… beautiful fish thou and super healthy… I’d have to say he’d be the boss since my the biggest fish currently is about 3” lol:.

There’s plenty of companies that do them.. top lids would be my choice if I was to buy one thou. They are well built and better than kracken or that other one I forgot it’s name..

Yeah there are plenty of options and I’ve kind of looked around somewhat. I will admit for my size……I was shocked at how expensive they are. Not my specific size, it based on similar or smaller sizes. Hahaha

3/8” sheet of lexan “poly carbonate” is $400 alone.. 4x8 so you can see why the price is high.. it can get crazy thou! Glad I can do what I do and save myself a ton of money lol..

Got the top off installed and operational… I’m gonna put some sliders under it in the next couple days to make it easier to fill
