You should! It would look stunning in your tank - displaying from this fish is insane.

I love me some wrasse's, so I want to see everyone's wrasse pictures! Please share!

I've been practicing my fish taking.. Snapped a decent one of my Naoko Wrasse, still need to polish up on my skills though!

Thinking I might have to move over both the dusky and the Timor to the big boy tank. They are both getting very boisterous and preventing me adding shyer fish.
How big is your Timor? Mine seems to be staying rather small in comparison to dusky and red, and is definitely the most timid.

*showing them off bc they're just so pretty.

I did it again, I went to my LFS and came back with another wrasse - this time however the exact species is unclear!
It’s a female but a female from a genus my collection is somewhat known for :)

My LFS asked me if he should order in Choati's. He quoted me $200... I know some of you would jump at that. Unfortunately, not my favorite leopard, and my recent success rate has convinced me to be a lot more careful.

What’s the chances, I was offered a choati today and said if they can order it then sure but if not then don’t worry.

I need something to humble my success rate :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

Every time I scroll through the distributor list, I stop at "Moorish Idol $55" and think "Should I?" "No, of course not." "But should I???".

It’s expensive but I’ve spent $50 on a filet of salmon from a grocery so 20-25 for 2 filets of moorish idol might be a good deal. And it will be fresh.

He's getting darker today:

Still not eating TDO or NLS pellets, with or without Garlic Guard. Does readily take Reef Nutrition PacPods, though. Ate an ROE and spit it out  Sheesh, picky picky!

Also might be getting a friend on Wednesday. Asked friend to pick up a medium male C. isosceles from distributor. Maybe the isosceles will eat pellets and train the pencil wrasse.

Do it. Here's my new guy. Chowing on mysis, nori, and caulerpa only 12 hours after going into quarantine.

Plotting my next tank and looking for the advice of the experts.
It will be 130-180 gallon 5-7 ft long reef tank I would like a few wrasses that will do well. Hopefully colorful and active but not jerks. I'm not opposed to going with a single species and getting a group if there is a species that is more interesting that way.
Here comes the challenge I'd like to try bare bottom.
Other fish that I would like to have in the tank
Mandarin pair (biota)
Majestic angel (biota)
Golden lined rabbitfish (biota)
Potters Angel (biota) (probably won't happen but I can dream)
I'll have assorted snails, crabs and shrimp.
All of the fish are negotiable except the majestic angel.

What do you recommend? Thank you
