Good Afternoon, Heathens!

Some post-nap, afternoon updates:

Wrasseputin still hasn't emerged from the sandbed yet. Pics when he does.

Lost the Greek Fire and (2nd) Red Planet frags. Boo... Everything else is looking great.

One of the pink barred zebra gobies didn't make it. Poon had two very small white dots on his fin, so out of an abundance of caution, I have begun treatment on the tank. Rally, Kick Ich, and Medic. Everyone else seems happy and healthy, and since beginning treatment, the dots are gone. We do ich management around these parts anyway, so NBD.

Mitch McConchel (Fighting Conch) and the Conchress (8 tiger conchs) have been making short work of the diatoms.

I had a call with the vendor (LA), and they have (begrudgingly) agreed to process a refund on the order stuck in Memphis. They wanted to give me a credit, and I flatly told them that I would not be placing an order with them anytime soon.

That's all for now. Now, I need to go catch up on everyone's threads! I've been tragically self absorbed.

Good Morning, Heathens.

I woke up this morning to the Bill Murray colony with RTN....

Everything else looks fine, to include the one colony that arrived bleached, which, incidentally, has begun coloring back up.

The new corals added yesterday were acclimated and then dipped using CoralRx, and appear to be doing just fine.

No water parameter issues that I am aware of, though I'm about to do a full range of tests to confirm.

The meds that I'm using in the tank I have used multiple times before without any deleterious affect on coral, save for LPS polyp retraction.

The only thing I can think of is that I moved the colony up a bit to acclimate it to higher par Thursday evening when the lights were ramping down. Maybe too fast?

Thoughts?

SBB says CoralRX is too aggressive. That's what they were blaming Ed's losses on if I recall.

My parents bought a Nespresso to use when they are here. They left it. I can’t bring myself to fund the pods but I’m enjoying it while the left overs are here. :star-struck:
We use Walmart brand pods. That’s also the hot chocolate I drink. It’s not over sweet so it’s really good.

They also have the “pods” for ground coffee.

Dr pepper stock is gonna drop, buy now...:rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:
Just 14 weeks? That’s long enough to stop the withdrawals, so that on week 14 and a day it’ll be like the first time you’ve ever drank it lol.

I've used the stuff for years without issue. Good to know, though. That being said, this colony was dipped several days ago, not yesterday. You think there would be delayed onset?

Stateline was seeing some happen overnight and some happen within a week or two.

My fingers are crossed that this was a one-off and it happened due to light shock. Everything else seems okay for now.

Good morning, Team and happy NYE.

Day 4, and Wrasseputin has still not emerged from the sandbed. At least not that I've seen. Admittedly, I have not been glued to the tank. So, it is possible that he came out, got spooked, and went back in hiding; but, my concern grows.

One of my female Anthias has begun transitioning. Looks like she wants to challenge Iceberg Slim. Two males = bad juju. Maybe @Mschmidt would like another fish...?
