Does that wp25 really help? Im going to be setting up a mixed reef and my highest point is going to be right near the overflow, also running mp10s on an apex. What did you setup on your mp10s (what mode) and do your corals really need that additonal pump?
I had both of the mp10s on my 34g at about 80% before moving them to the 93g. So I felt like more flow was needed and actually still think an additional wp25 will be in my future. The more flow the better in my opinion especially with all of the sps I have. I have about 25 frags on frag racks that you can't see I will be adding some more rock soon so I will have a place to put all of the frags.
I run the mp10s on the green setting can't remember what it is called I also just got a cable to run them off my apex but have not set that up yet. My sps have started growing like crazy since moving everything to the new tank not sure if it is the extra flow or what?
Looking wicked my friend! Can you do a slightly far away shoot next time? I just realised how big your new tank is compared to your old tank! But you only shot the whole tank for the first 3 seconds or so.
How are you acro colours now compared to your old tank?
Thanks here is a phone video from a bit further out terrible quality tho. I am having a bit if trouble with some of the acros not liking all of this light the new fixture is putting out. Some of them are finally looking amazing the high light ones bit some of my low light stuff have paled out some.
Any suggestions on some lower par bulbs I might can swap a few of the blue plus out with?
Yeah I have some true actinic but they are really green. another purple plus is a good idea. TDF is doing good hope your frags are. Thanks. You coming Saturday?
When I did the par readings on ATI bulbs the purple + were about 360 par and the blue + were 330-340par. The purple plus actually had a higher par reading then the white coral plus. I also noticed that the bulbs in the center of the fixture had a slightly higher par then the bulbs near the outside of the fixture. Maybe just change your bulbs around. Make sure your actinic is in the center of your fixture if your trying to reduce par. This info came from two different ATI sunpower fixtures with all ATI new bulbs. I also wouldn't run more then two white bulbs in your 8 bulb.
