Old tank is a 54 corner with a smaller pump, used to have a lot of Coral in it and much time spent on it. Life got busy so it went downhill I tried to get rid of it but wife said no. I now have more time so instead of getting this corner tank back to where it belongs, I decided to go to a little larger which overflow built in.

I wanted a larger sump so I could do what I wanted with it and in it, but as you know cubes stands are not suited for large sumps, so I built my stand to house a larger sump. I thought I would just use all old stuff and slowly upgrade but LOL that did not happen yet. some photos form old tank in its hay
day, now updates on that one as it is an embarrassment.
  • 60 Cube
  • Using the two predrilled holes for a Herbie and just bringing water up back separately.
  • Radion XR 15 old existing one is a reef breeder. I got the tank mount but not sure I will use it, I may hang so it sites good in front of mirror. And I like the idea of a purple and blue blade added.
  • Dual Aquatop titanium heaters (debating ink bird or just using the controllers on heaters)
  • Bubble Magnus 5 pro, old one is a standard magnus 5
  • Going with a shallower sand bed this time around, I bought the sand now I know I bought too much so no idea what I will do with rest LOL
  • Trigger Emerald: I wanted the dual return and dual socks and I got this bad boy on clearance at Trigger.
  • Fish currently in the tank are:
  • Blue Hippo, yes I know some think tank is two small but I rescued him as a baby and he does very well in the tank.
  • Domino Clown (male) I know because his mate died a couple years ago.
  • Ocellaris clown, young.
  • Blue Damsels (old x2)
  • I got a 10-gallon top off tank from Trigger but now I may actually move my main RODI system closer to the new tank setup and just plumb directly in.

I will reuse my current wave makers Jebao “for now” but I really like the clean look of Maxspec.

The stand has a lot of open sides so I can do what I want, and I can pull the whole sump out the side. I am planning to get Plexiglas shaded and cut/router to fit the pockets so I can enclose the stand base.

The Herbie is a direct drop to sump, the return is just hanging in the back right now, it will be finished later today then water test.
