Did a total rescape tonight. Adjusted flow, trimmed some mushrooms that were out of control and blew debris out of cracks. Also finally caught the coral beauty and moved him to me my dad's tank. Sometime in the next month or so going to get rid of blue tang and pick up done smaller community type fish.

Not in a long time, i was actually looking at trying it again but read some decent reviews on seachem so i figure i would try it out.

I used to use red sea but since using regular IO I have been really happy plus regular IO does not come with all the extra crap. And is only 39.99 for a 200 gallon box

After being sick on and off for the last two weeks I did some much needed maintenance to my skimmer. It is an older Beckett skimmer and I knew the PCX 70HP pump probably got something in the impeller. I had put it off because it is kind of a pain to take apart. Anyway, I pulled it apart and found the mantis shrimp that escaped from the small tank I had set up for it that shared the same sump along with some limpet shells, etc. I also cleaned the Beckett and it had a bunch of crud in it. While I was at it I cleaned the skimmer cup for the first time in a couple of months. It has a swabbie in it so the neck was still pretty clean. After hooking it all back up it is really skimming again. Hopefully it will help with the slight cyano growth I have been getting lately.

I needed to move the entire reef structure back because it moved to close to the front glass due to the digging of the 2 pistol shrimp so I had to break some corals and re glue others to move it an inch. Now I can clean most of the front glass until I have to do it again.

Lots of testing and finally my tank is cal and alk stable. Soon I will start trace elements dosing even with water changes strontium and iron are on the low side but potassium and iodine are staying stable

I took all my tanks and made one stand for all of them. The stand has a ventilation system to vent humidity outside, and electrical system so I am not looking for plugs. I still have a little mor work to do but its close to being finished.

Not doing much of anything except water changes right now. I had an alk drop that killed off a couple of my favorite corals so I'm not feeling overly motivated to mess with anything. Just doing the water changes to get the alk back in line while I wait for my BRS 2-part kit to get here so I can get up and running.
