The leather corals had yet another laugh this past week while I was attempting to move the recovering lps back into the tank. This time, I lost half of my montipora, most of my birdsnest, my blasto, and a frogspawn (which unfortunately got brown jelly disease). You can probably expect my Fluval 13.5 to be reborn soon as a soft coral tank…

Sadly, the blenny did not make it to the morning. I feel really guilty about this one, although I have heard many things regarding quarantine-related deaths, and how it is very easy for something like this to happen. I still can’t help but feel like I’m the one at fault here, as I waited for days before acting on the problem, and only helped the blenny when it was too late for him. Hopefully I will do better next time.
Rest In Peace, Goofy the blenny.

I really feel for you on the fish loss especially when it is preventable. When i started the Biocube i had so much loss it drove me absolutely mad o_O. Happy to see your fighting through it and things are looking great!

Cheers,

B-Kind

Brief update:
Luxo and Sharkbait seem to have bonded really well so far! They both take turns hosting the torch coral, and seem to stick together more often than not! Let’s hope that Luxo doesn’t teach Sharkbait to also bite my hand!!

Love this shot of the clowns! I bet now that there is 'another' in the tank she will leave your other livestock alone, except to defend her territory of course.

Hopefully this includes your fingers !

Well quite a bit has happened since last time I’ve posted. My fish have somehow gotten ich, I suspect a fault on my part with quarantining Sharkbait and Venom. So, I’ve set up a 20 gallon tank and a 10 gallon tank, where I will be transfering everything into. Additionally, the leather corals caused another problem, and although I managed to save most corals, a few others aren’t looking so great…
I’m sure things will eventually work out, but for now, it looks like it’ll be quite the uphill battle.

Update: Day one seems to be going well! The clowns are in their own QT and it’s nice to watch them closely. I was worried that they wouldn’t get along but they seem to be a close pair at this point!
I looked in my display tank to find that my torch coral is spawning! I wonder if I’ll see tiny heads pop up in a few weeks!
I’m probably going to be removing my leather corals soon. The Fluval will probably become a softie-macro tank, and my display tank will hopefully stop having coral problems.

The bubble tip adjusted to the tank wonderfully! So did most other new corals, except a mushroom that almost died, but is thankfully recovering well, and the montipora, which is unfortunately losing flesh.

All the new creatures are doing well! The anemone is really liking its new environment! Hopefully everything continues to thrive!

Yesterday I was cleaning my tank, and my peppermint shrimp came out and began to clean my hand! How unusual!!

Today I began 3D printing my anemone guard. Hopefully it does the trick!

I also had a little fun and made this new aquarium handle!

Unfortunately, the blenny and goby began to do poorly in the quarantine system. They stopped eating and were beginning to act rather stressed. I think they may even have internal parasites. While I would normally tackle the situation quickly, I’m going on vacation this Tuesday, so don’t have a lot of time to take care of things. Instead, I put them back into the main display, where conditions are much better. They’re already perking up, and hopefully they’ll continue to do well until I get back, when I’ll reassess how I’m going to quarantine these two, because the 20 gallon setup with cupramine seemed too harsh for them.

TTM?
I see you're using blue tape. Have you tried Aqua Net hair spray?
I'm a convert. google how to for 3D printing; you'll be stoked.
Thanks, I’ll definitely have to check that out! This is my first major 3D print for my tank, with my only other design being a frag rack long ago. I hope to make more helpful designs in the future!
