Hi all,

I bought a new innovative 10G tank from a LFS. I did my best to inspect it at the store, but missed this when I got home.

The tank has a bubble in its seam. If I press hard on it, the bubble goes away.

Any ideas on what to do? Thanks

This is not something that would trouble me as I have repaired many tank and the low tank volume does not produce a whole lot of pressure opposed to a larger tank. Troylee is correct in this being Aesthetics rather than defect.
If you are still not comfortable, exchange for a new tank as it is new;y purchased.

Hey @vetteguy53081 sorry the bother. So I reached out to innovative marine as well just in case and they said something similar where the silicone inside the tank holding the glass matters.

But they recommended a leak test. So I’m currently doing that but I notice my tank water line dips in the corner, but the tank itself is leveled. Any idea why it’s doing that? Or is it normal (there’s no pump running).

Level tank before filling. Its slightlly off.

These wood shims work well:

thanks. This is gonna sound super dumb but the level was in the middle on all sides. And the tank innovative marine tank is on the levelling flat. Do I need to level my dresser that it sits on?

Are you sure that’s not just water tension at corners? If the level is showing level, there’s no need to shim. Maybe try splashing the surface some and breaking the water tension before you go shimming your stand.
