Great question ummmm… well let’s see I’m much older now so I have more patience for one, never owned a controller and now have a apex and trident that tests daily so my alk is more consistent.. besides that I stuck to the basics and what I know from back then and still use it today! Good flow, good lighting and carbon dosing! The only new addition is following @SunnyX footsteps and being bacteria driven with dosing mb7 and zeobak a couple times a week. I believe that’s the ticket although most people say it’s snake oil and we don’t need to dose bacteria.. I beg to differ because I see the feeding response in my acros here’s proof! Never seen this nor tried it till this tank.
