Reef beauties gets those angels in regularly, they sell out quickly though. @tbrown wants some too.I will say, I'm probably on a hold for coral for a bit. New tank, need to get gear, cycled, and then I'm probably going to be a fish person for a bit.
Off hand, I mentioned it already but I'm for sure getting a pair of flashing tile fish. I haven't committed mentally to anything else, but I feel like I want a few more rare/collector fish.
I'm surprised that collectors bug hasn't hit you @wes84 . I think I want a borbonias anthias, maybe a pair of Watanabe angelfish. I'm not going to go for a gem tang because I hear they are jerks, but there are a ton of beautiful fish to collect.
I can't believe we don't have any regulars on the group that aren't fish addicts when it comes to some more exotic stocking choices. Shocks me @Thuan isn't more of a fish fan too.Reef beauties gets those angels in regularly, they sell out quickly though. @tbrown wants some too.
Super late to the conversation since I've been in client meetings/happy hour/dinner since earlier today, but I trust a file fish about as far as you can throw them. Don't even know why people take the risk, looking at you too @Rennurdoar
Hellfreichi are awesome looking fish for sure!I can't believe we don't have any regulars on the group that aren't fish addicts when it comes to some more exotic stocking choices. Shocks me @Thuan isn't more of a fish fan too.
Rarer/exotic fish I want (not sure that I'll get them) is a pair of hellfreichi dart fish. I just honestly don't know if they go with tile fish since they are similarly shaped. Borbonias anthias as I mentioned, Watanabe angelfish, I'd love a swissguard basslet too but I'm committed to an assessor basslet since they swim sideways and upside down so I don't know if they will go together, Ive been very interested in garden eels, I want a three stop high hat fish, curious wormfish if I can get one, fingered dragonet, and I don't know what is really a rare tang other than stupid ridiculous things like aberrant tangs.
What happened?a few bad decisions over weekend and i ended up wrecking a good portion of my acros... have lost a bunch of frags, a couple colonies, and some high end pieces... some had been growing for over a year. Things that survived are in sad shape with super pale color, some dead spots, or tips with missing tissue. Probably will lose more before everything said and done. Depressing to say the least and all my own fault and preventable had i been a little more thoughtful... live and learn, but need to take a break from acros for a bit until things recover and i can feel good about them again.
Bright side is only the acros were affected and everything else is good. Gives the LPS and shrooms some time to shine and be joy... here's some random shots of the positive spin... sorry for dirty glass in a few shots... only cleaned 2 of three sides today for whatever reason... Been on a shroom kick since last week and this sale i picked up only shrooms from SBB... looking forward to adding those next week.
I rehomed mine and now the Aiptasia is coming back.I've only seen our nip once at our SPS when he was new. Doesn't mean he never did when I wasn't watching though. But we no longer have him. I was going to rehome him, but I guess he had other plans and decided to try to live outside the tank lol. Didn't notice in time, so he's in fish heaven now.
I have our engineer goby, I'd like a couple of other weird/unique fish also. Just some are pretty expensive lol. I like a lot of the predator fish, and a lot that aren't reef safe.I can't believe we don't have any regulars on the group that aren't fish addicts when it comes to some more exotic stocking choices. Wondering the same thing. The rest of your tank looks magnificent @penguinexdeusWhat happened?
Your engineer goby will get big eventually too. What reef safe wrasse do you have, lots aren't too hefty in price.I have our engineer goby, I'd like a couple of other weird/unique fish also. Just some are pretty expensive lol. I like a lot of the predator fish, and a lot that aren't reef safe.
I have a H. Melanurus, H. Leucoxanthus, and H. Garnoti.Your engineer goby will get big eventually too. What reef safe wrasse do you have, lots aren't too hefty in price.
I'm hesitant to do bigger wrasse, fairy wrasse might be the largest I go in the next build.I have a H. Melanurus, H. Leucoxanthus, and H. Garnoti.
Right now a six line and that's it. Our ornate leopard wrasse jumped to a few weeks ago. I think our lieutenant tang is starting to bully some I think. He's starting to outgrow the 90 since we have so much rock work.Your engineer goby will get big eventually too. What reef safe wrasse do you have, lots aren't too hefty in price.
I've kept a lot of FW fish over the years, some more exotic, but corals and SW was new and exciting. So many fish are not reef safe, or I just don't have room for them.I can't believe we don't have any regulars on the group that aren't fish addicts when it comes to some more exotic stocking choices. How is your sixline. Mine is a model citizen. I never see it chasing the other fish. It was the last addition intentionally and like half an inch when I got it. He is very shy.Right now a six line and that's it. Our ornate leopard wrasse jumped to a few weeks ago. I think our lieutenant tang is starting to bully some I think. I want to get one of the white leopard wrasse like @steveschuerger has.
Iridis wrasse, 4.5 inches, not too bad. Halichoeres so they do great pest control.I'm hesitant to do bigger wrasse, fairy wrasse might be the largest I go in the next build.
