Peppermint shrimp have always been more trouble than they are worth to me. Hit or (mostly) miss with aiptasia and tend to annoy your corals and clams as the try to steal food from them.

I haven't tried nudis yet as I have a few wrasses that would eat them and have had to go manual Kalk injections to eradicate with extreme prejudice those little jerks.
I've heard the same. The fancy ones listed on Biota supposedly have a better track record.

can confirm need to leave it in longer than 5 min for KCL. I used to do the same 5 min i would do for reef primer and it's not the same strength... need to go at least 10 min with the KCL at 2 tbsp/ gal
That's kind of what I figured and why I brought it up for Kas who was using reef primer. Thanks for clarifying.

So my friend said that corals have reduced growth in lower pH and I haven’t really seen a lot from mine. Decided to test it today. It’s running 7.6-7.7. I think I’ll get a CO2 scrubber for Black Friday from BRS…

Oh man, thats low! Definitely get a CO2 scrubber at that low, make sure your aeration is up with skimmer and powerheads etc

keep it on but turn it down! and consider dosing neonitro
Well I also need to fix it the weird bubbler thing came loose so I need to take it apart. Second time it’s happened. The skimmer needs to be turned back on once I get the skimmer.

I’m hoping I can wait until black friday
