Mine is floating at 7.7 to 7.9 taken at two periods 9:30 am and 8:30 pm, did two days of testing in a row since I made some changes to coral stocking.

You think it would be helpful to bring up the pH until I can get the CO2 scrub?

Nah, don't chase numbers. If your tank is fine for now, don't buy a product as a quick fix until you get a CO2 scrubber. Just order the scrubber and install it when it gets there.
