Noted something interesting. Months ago my ICP test would show Iodine around 36. Started using the Hanna nitrite with Red Sea regent test. Found about 0.2 ml a day would keep it between 67-75. This month I started dosing the KZ FlatWormStop. After I started using it, the iodine level shot up to over 100+. Stopped dosing and it stays between 80-100. Only thing I can see that caused the change was the FlatWormStop.
Yeah, it’s well documented in R2R threads that FWS increases iodine.

I think low iodine is worse than high iodine...I've been at 1200 before and nothing happened.
Same. I was dosing the recommended amount on the iodide bottle and ended up way high. I think around 900, and I didn’t have any issues going on. After realizing it, I cut way back on the iodide dosing.

I was also dosing way less. I think only 1/4. The one bottle I have will probably last forever. Especially since I dose FWS. As I eluded to above, I don’t know if FWS is a supplement for iodide or not.

Same conclusion. I did not test my iodine but i was dosing per instructions and noticed a crash in consumption a week later. Definitely an instance of OD and suspected iodine as aquavitro fuel also contains iodine. I hate KZ products for not knowing what and how much is in it - something so critical for reefkeeping but when i say that dormant corals immediately based, all things the same, i was impressed.

Sounds like I am overcomplicating things again. I am dosing FWS (when I remember to) 3 times per week so should help with the iodine.

I will just get the potassium kit and go from there.
I snagged the salifert K kit and its been great so far. I recommend just snagging the cheap bag of food grade potassium chloride on amazon. Ya literally just measure out a few grams and mix with 10-20mL of water, done. Obviously use the calculator, i think 5-7gr was about 10ppm in 100 gal
