Thank you. I’m up in the air about sand in the new tank. I’ve never kept a bare bottom tank but I had an idea of encrusting corals over the bottom. The 3 top contenders are pulsing Xenia, gsp or gonis
in the exact same spot. every time I think I have decided a few days goes by and I start debating it all over again

Ultimately I know I'm probably going to have sand. I like too many things that live in the sand. But I still think trying something new would be really interesting

Sand is crucial part of a reef

Easy if you keep the right type, depth, and crew. This sandbed has never been cleaned, stirred, or vacuumed in 10 years

My sand appears to have some dirties but when you get close it’s sand growing coraline

I've never seen a reef in nature that's bare bottom. It's why I've always had sand.

New corals from @robanister looking good. Settling in nicely. 4 Acros (3 full frags and a little cookie)and what believe to be a leptastrea.
