in the exact same spot. every time I think I have decided a few days goes by and I start debating it all over againThank you. I’m up in the air about sand in the new tank. I’ve never kept a bare bottom tank but I had an idea of encrusting corals over the bottom. The 3 top contenders are pulsing Xenia, gsp or gonis
Start without. Let it cycle for a while and decide while you are waiting. Can always add the sand in a few weeks down the road.in the exact same spot. every time I think I have decided a few days goes by and I start debating it all over again

Ultimately I know I'm probably going to have sand. I like too many things that live in the sand. But I still think trying something new would be really interestingin the exact same spot. every time I think I have decided a few days goes by and I start debating it all over again
I've never seen a reef in nature that's bare bottom. It's why I've always had sand.Sand is crucial part of a reef
Easy if you keep the right type, depth, and crew. This sandbed has never been cleaned, stirred, or vacuumed in 10 years
My sand appears to have some dirties but when you get close it’s sand growing coraline
And I don’t mind sharing the most problematic area in tanks, side view, the back corner behind the rockscape
New corals from @robanister looking good. Settling in nicely. 4 Acros (3 full frags and a little cookie)and what believe to be a leptastrea.

This last piece is a little branch tip I knocked off my Cosmic Bubblegum when cleaning. It’s doing well after getting glued a free plug
