Corals don't seem to mind and are encrusting well and adding on color

I'm going to retest now and will let you know. I was reading an article from Randy Holmes-Farley saying acros grew faster at higher dKH. His recommended range was 7-11

That's the standard recommended range of dkh

I think that depends on recipe and micronutrients at same level. I can see how higher dkh is higher ph is higher growth but you still need the rest.

Just checked - it's came down some from where it was

Phos - .18 (working to get that down)
Mag - 1380
PH - 8.3
Calcium - 440
dKH - 10.08

I find in hit 8.3 ph at high on 8.7 dkh I'm good. I may look at low to which used to be 7.9.ph. I used a senseye

Also running around there helps me catch the increase in consumption before anything goes crazy. Normally ph tells me something is off. Would stay at 7.9ish before dropping more.

It's normal - I haven't changed anything other than typical water change. I dose AFR and I suspect now that things are growing, it's starting to lower on it's own. It was 10.7 a week ago

I would keep an eye on dkh closer..I test mine daily

I'll start testing more often and see what the tank does. Have thought about automating it with a Trident but it sounds like some units really had some problems. Just using Hanna tester for now
