Is it possible to keep bta in a nano tank? I have a 15g that I’m setting up that I would eventually love to make a tank with a nem and two clowns.

I know nothing about nems.

I'm not sure, I've seen lots of people with Fluval evos with an ai prime on, so I assume so. My 10 gallon started as a quarantine tank, but I haven't added live stock for while. Going to throw a spare reef bar over it and either use it as a frag tank or something else. I have my yellow watchman goby living in there because he was getting bullied by the starry blenny. Just got him a pistol shrimp friend today as well since he has been just living by himself for a month. I do the same weekly water changes on it, 2.5 gallons, same TM Bioactif even though it doesn't need it only because it mixes when I do the other tank. I assume parameters are the same except nitrates and phosphates from the other tank.

No qt residue in rock or anything correct?..like copper etc..

I kept a bta in my 20 gallon nano (before I broke it down). Did absolutely fine

No qt residue in rock or anything correct?..like copper etc..

Copper should be PVC only in the tank. No sand or rock. Rock and sand limit the effectiveness of the copper

Best I can do Billy - it’s on a little bit of PVC. Typically extends down to the sand. I’ve lost others from being irritated and this seems to have helped.

Ok. That looks beautiful. Saw a bunch of acanthos on a live sale last week and almost bit but held off cause the colors where blah. Glad to see there are some beauties out there.

I haven’t even set the tank up yet but I bought one of those $100 IM 15g cubes. I wouldn’t even think to add it for a year or more.

Nope, cleaned it out before I put in the goby. Had no rock or sand in it. Just added that today for the pistol shrimp. Glued together a quick ad hoc Marco rock den.

Good looking out, but follow all quarantine procedures to a T. Cleaned it out, ran it with nothing in there for about four months after I reset it, just put a bag of matrix in it from my other tank to seed it, added a new ammonia badge and I drop in Ulva when I clean it out of my other tank. There is one "live rock" in it and two Marco rocks as of today.

Goby has been in there about a month, added a polyfilter (the one that changes color) after I had cleaned out the tank in case there was anything on the tank, heater, pumps etc. Changed our the airstone line and actual airstone too.
