Fragging question as I've not attempted it yet - since I got an actual doser awhile back my encrusters have been spreading like crazy and I'd like to share. How would I frag this rainbow Monti? You can see the outline of the original plug underneath - can I just cut that off or would it be better to give it a blank plug to grow onto?

Pry a chunk off if you can.

I have a few plating Montis and I just snap a large plate off.

Encrusting might be a bit more difficult. Other option is to put a plug next to it, once it starts encrusting on it snap it off.

You could try and break that plug off? Maybe get a knife and cut around the edges?

@SBB Corals i have a lot of nice corals and a family that supports my hobby. I had a cool moment today. My daughter is looking in the tank and as I walk by she says “you know what my favorite coral is?”

I said which one is your favorite?

“That green and yellowish torch right there with the blue tops—> “
And she pointed to your HG!

Only had it a day and it’s an instant favorite!
