Let me check my philaster time line i think it matches up but that would mean you have a lot . Did you jewelers loop and find anything. Anything in dip? These guys move fast.

No we started with a few smaller pieces in dip and didnt see anything convincing. My buddy got flatworms from what we suspect was his TSA purchase a few weeks ago. He put a frag in a tick cup and it was so extremely obvious. I still havent seen anything convincing me of pests. This is just a bacterial episode, the fact amox/cipro is actually stalling it is further evidence. I kuat put another 250mg of cipro underna rock infront of the mp40

Thats tissue rapidly peeling off from a healthy colony when plucked. There may or may not be parasites but parasites have absolutely nothing to do with this episode of RTN. No shot parasites turned healthy bases into fleshless within a few hours, confirmed by leaving 4" bases in a cooler, remaining with flesh, being placed into the tank where everything melting, and melting.

Still trying to get my head around this. You know, the tank was humming along just great. I go away for a ten day trip and have two people watching the tank for me. One new guy. I come back and see the circle of death start. That keeps going through my head. The new guy plays water volley ball everyday morning and evening. Just wondering if he lathered up with non reef safe suntan lotion and then came over and stuck his hands in the tank everyday before he went to volleyball. Maybe not….maybe did. Although not totally confirmed yet, but suspected, that chemicals in suntan lotion may play a big part in the SCTLD going rampant through the Florida reef and Caribbean. The fact that my tank started crashing while I was gone makes me very suspect about that.
