I'm in the 8.3-8.5 range typically and 325-375 par. Overall just going to treat the tank as long term holding for now. New tank is already in hand. Once I have space I'll set it up I'll go from there
I would drop that to at least 8.2 and drop your light 3 percent. They grow up so 375 will be 600 quick

I've dipped everything twice since the old glory melted. Every 3 days. Not seeing any signs of pests in the dip and the skeleton of the old glory is clean. The mango tango is stressed and showing the kind of tip burn that I associate with alk burn but the level is still right where it normally sits and right where my salt mixes.

This is the hologram just a couple days ago. It kept looking like that until this morning where it's bare skeleton. I've seen rtn before but normally it isn't the ones that look the healthiest that get hit first
No need for every 3 days. Every 6-7 is fine.

I'm not seeing any sign of pests. I'm leaning towards something else as the cause. Sucks to lose stuff but I'm going to keep trying to get these growing until it's time to move them
Keeping acros is like agony and ecstasy. Rewarding when everything grows beautifully. The agony when suddenly seeing something melts away

Getting old sucks. Beats the alternative though

Yep. We keep them because they are hard. Sucks losing stuff but it's only truly frustrating when you can't find the reason. I thought I found it as a voltage leak when the skimmer wouldn't start back up after a feeding cycle turned out the pump is just a pia. Might have to ICP test it but for now just plugging along. If this tank was going to keep running long term I'd probably have a different response but this is a holding tank until I can get the bigger one set up

Curious what people dip specific to addressing bacteria. Does potassium chloride cover this base?
