Yeah..I really wasn't too keen on going to war with a knife against coyotes. Luckily they went on about their business.
Always good to carry a hole punch when out and about in the woods.

Finally cooling down a little here. Had a lot of 100 plus days in a row. August is the hot month here though. I work outside but it’s weird, you do get used to it. A couple weeks ago I thought I was going to die when it was 90 but now 105 feels just uncomfortable.

I'll be the first to admit I'd be a useless puddle at that temperature outside.

If I remember right, in Texas you just wait 10 minutes and the weather will change. In 1973, there was a foot of snow on the ground in San Antonio. I remember because I had to march in it during initial military indoctrination.

Im a ginger and UV is rough on me. You really do get used to it. I mean it sucks, but it really only takes a few days of it and you adapt. I was born in Texas, raised in Michigan but moved back when I was 18. I miss the seasons most. I think we’re going to move up to the northeast in a few years. I took my wife up there last fall and she fell in love. Cold winter mornings in the north are rough too, but having 4 seasons is worth it IMO. Here it’s summer or winter. Brown, dead everything for months in the summer.

It depends where you’re at. West Texas is crazy. I was there one time and it was 85 degrees when we went to bed and snowing and freezing cold when we woke up. It’s pretty consistently just hot in central Texas. We get about a month of winter. Usually 2 weeks of snow/ice and single digit temps and then it’s hot again.

I can send you some if you and your wife eat it. Makes great egg fried rice. The liquor that goes in it cost me $31 for a bottle and went 4 stores before I found it
Very kind of you, but I was just kidding. We can get it at the market a few blocks from me. My daughter LOVES fried rice with Chinese sausage, we get it at a local Chinese dumpling place whenever we go. I'm sure your husband makes better sausage from scratch, but we can grab it at the Vietnamese grocery store just around the corner or at 99 Ranch if we drive to the Asian center of San Diego.

No trouble. Pm me your address. My 2 girls love them. This is my grandfather recipe who is Chinese. We make it every yr because I don't buy it because I don't know the stuff they put in there.

Denver City, Texas. An oil well in everybody’s back yard and you don’t have to mow the grass. E little warm in the summer.

Wow, there’s an XTO office there. I was working for XTO until about a year ago when our area was bought by another company. Had a pension too but wasn’t around long enough to get it.

It was great growing up there. Nobody knew how to drive on snow or ice so school was out a lot in the winters.

No joke lol that and road treatment doesn’t exist. First storm of every year, you’ll find hundreds of ditched vehicles on the major highways. The first thing I noticed when I moved back down here was that rusty cars don’t exist. They don’t treat with salt during the winter so all of the 20 year old cars still look good.
