Good for smaller systems. I would for Sure plumb one into a bare bottom sps 90g cube.
Big water volume needs big surface area. Sand beats rock for surface area every time. Nate doesn't have much of either.
I got energy got alot of energy.I want a divorce... your constant rambling is tiresome.
That was my issue last night.I'm honestly less concerned with dealing with Ammonia than I am having a diverse microbiome. I go minimal on rock, but it's Enough. Ammonia events are not a constant thing and I use enough rock and sand to deal. Unsightly things in our tanks being out completed and the tank stabilization overall, I believe has a lot to do with that.
I'm rippedAF while Reefing so don't expect me to provide source reasoning.
I have sand in my refugium too.I have a mud chamber bu that's not the same as sand.
Cleaning the sand in the sump sounds eek. I don't clean the mud.
SameI have sand in my refugium too.
Don't overthink it. I prewash All sand. Adding dry sand right now, will not do anything for you, Right now.So you think. Add this to the sump? Just boom right in there. Dry as a whistle. Or you think cure it ? Hmmm
Then get rock slap it on top. Call it a year! Good plan . TyDon't overthink it. I prewash All sand. Adding dry sand right now, will not do anything for you, Right now.
This would be an action to help yourself out in the future with stability. Cure it in the tank. I'd probably lay the sand, then add half a cup of your mud to seed it and give it a good stir. Walk away.
Is it clearer now?Woah. Sand engaged
We either just did a good thing or a bad thing. About 3 inch deep. Ready for some fishy boulders.
While I was down there I realized I forgot to flip the uv back on. Wow. Cool job me

Yep!Is it clearer now?
Love them!
Or just pour a bottle of Matrix into a media bag and toss it in the sump...Everything counts, it's better when everything counts in large amounts, Definitely need more rock, and super porous rock, for denitrification, but honestly I wonder sometimes if there's enough surface area in bb tanks to quickly convert ammonia.
Red pill or Blue pill...Or just pour a bottle of Matrix into a media bag and toss it in the sump...
