More equipment means more things can go wrong IMO. Sometimes very quickly. I'd rather have slow and steady growth compared to fast but balancing on the edge of 15 pieces of equipment when one breaks it crashes.

oh absolutely, plus it would cause me a lot more stress and anxiety knowing i have all this equipment running (that has become absolutely crucial) that needs to be checked daily and kept in nearly pristine condition

oh i know how that goes lol. i had a tank with an absolutely booming population of neocardinia shrimps and endlers, i'd find those little buggers dried out behind the tank all the time

The problem with the jebao is there isn't much space between the gyre and the mount. Or I could have the guard stand off from it more.

Maybe split spacing, have larger grid openings on part of it for the return side and smaller on the intake.

I still would like some space between the guard and intake though. So I'm still scratching my head because I'm still a newbie with CAD.

But I did modify this design and put a screen over the front. It will stand off from the powerhead to help prevent Jello from getting sucked in. But it is going to add some girth...
