We are going to continue discussing the reef aquarium facts submitted by our members. Do you agree or disagree? What are your thoughts?

Fact #43

Vodka can be dosed in a reef tank as a carbon source to fuel beneficial bacteria and keep nutrient levels down in a closed system.

Truth or False? What else might we need to learn on this subject? Please also share any pictures that may pertain to the subject. ;)

True, but for many aquarists that dose vodka, the end result is a cyano that is impossible to kill. It really must be dosed religiously with multiple kinds of additional bacteria.
