Took off yesterday with my girl, to the Berkshires to visit my Sister, her boyfriend, and 1 from each of their clutch to do some Bbbrrraaaapppp'ing! Much needed destresser from the grind of the last 8 weeks between wrapping up stuff in the tank and chasing a 4year old around my pad..

Kalisha and I almost.ran this little guy over as we passed a beaver pond about 5 miles into the trails. Helped him to the water :)

After watching several different AB+ videos for A.I. LED's, I decided it was time to bump that UV to where it should be and level out the blues a bit. Dropped 4% of my whites too.

Had a conversation with @Rakie and he convinced me to bump my reds and greens which are essential in order for photosynthesis to occur.

Here is my original schedule.
Screenshot_20190606-204626_myAI.jpg

Over the last 4 months I have been manually acclimating the UV up slowly and the purples and blues down accordingly to eventually achieve my end result of a tweaked version of the cumulative setting BRS came up with in their videos trying to duplicate the radions' AB+ spectrum.
Here is the new one and where it will stay.
Screenshot_20190607-220648_myAI.jpg

Over the next few week I will lengthen the "max" photo period in 15 minute increments until i reach about 2 hours of peak, with 1 hr rampup and down at about 80%

If I dont see clear results in a month or so, i will begin the transition to David Saxby settings.

Catching up on build threads now.

Still havent tested ;)

QT update... all 3 originals are well. The dragon goby is eating pellets, flakes, mysis, brine and dusting the bowl of sand I put in there for the wrasse.

Best news? The anthias is more peaceful now that it killed the other 3 females I had in there with her.

Perfect timing for my QT batch that is in observation for a few more weeks.

To my dismay there were not a lot of support members active in the monthly giveaways we get for our contribution to r2r.

To ALL r2r #supportingmembers , please get onto the new June Giveaway and thank those sponsors out there giving back to the community!!

You gotta see his site. Some 1-of-a-kind acrylics for all your tight space and challenges with mounting that we face in our reefing journies..

He also wrote an article on magnets and deserves some recognition!

So this just showed up at my door.

Someone adressed it to "rich the reefer" ;Hilarious

I cant imagine what the mailman thinks now. Hahaha.

I really have no words, and dont think "thank u" is enough.

@Scurvy , cory, thank you so much for this awesome gesture. I have to figure out how to mount it below but I'll make it work. Almost brings tears to my eyes tbh, this forum, the community and friends I've made along the way, it all is just moving what is possible with the right group of people.

Thank you again sir,
Too kind.

And while I'm giving thanks, I'd like to shout out @Raege for the trivia giveaway, got some cultured juvenile pods and fresh phyto wet last week.

It's like christmas in my reef. Such generosity. Thank you all.

Nice! If the mailman’s hiding in your bushes come late September we’ll know how he/she took it :)

Now lets gas up that Fuge!
