Well, I couldn't resist a sale..

Lfs has buy 3 get 2 free. So I went reef rescue hunting for SPS piece that were cheap to test the parameters and conditions of my tank with some easy sps, and some not-so-easy sticks.

6 frags for 70 bucks. Couldnt say no.

I took all the ones that were showing recent growth and had either encrusted or were in the process of encrusting..


Random stick , I got another cheap chunk of this too, but with a bigger base. 10 bucks a pop

Lobo appear to be sprouting a 5th mouth. (Left mouth splitting)

The extension chord for the return pump to controller lead should be at my door tomorrow, and then I will route all the wiring above and below and cleanse the rogue wires with my OCD Deluxe Zip ties and sticky hooks.

I am already sad when I look at the tank and see the dendro all cut up... but all the polyps are out and happy. So meh : shrugs :

Itll grow back fast. Theres almost 30 new heads that we counted. Fed the tank minced Krill an hour ago and the dendros got bathed in eyeballs.

My rocks are green. I'm running out of steam. Maybe I'll test tonight but man I'm getting beat up with this green algae or whatever it is. Same stuff that took over my fuge. Big breaths.

Pretty confident its algae too. Cuz anywhere light doesnt touch theres nothing. And my Lobo is on the sand bed, and u can clearly see the sand is pristine under its flesh when its inflated. So in the shadows theres nothing. Gotta be algae.

Dosed vibrant at max dosage last night. Will go a little more aggressive this time around. I played it safe the 1st time. I'm running out of options.

Where’s your N&P these days?

Is the algae seemingly everywhere or only covering specific rocks? I remember you having different lights over the tank. Wondering if there’s any correlation....Say under one fixture but not the other?

Nope. Hydras 26hds only running 25% whites for 4 hours in the middle of the day. Parent and child. And the fluval marine strip running between them. (That's why theres no coral besides the dendro in the middle)

I know you maybe selling it all off in the future and life is what it is at the moment. A beefier fuge light would probably help. Something in the 30-45 watt range would be adequate and had for 40/50 bucks.
