I also found an extension for my return pump controller-to-pump chord. I was 2ft short with the standard one issued with it.

Itll be here on Tuesday and I will clean up all the loose-end wiring at that point.

ATO is in, set, and working. Chose the skimmer compartment for the level due to the "pod passage" design across the back connecting the skimmer chamber to the return pump.

The wire management will be completed when I receive the Return pump extension chord. Gonna do it all in 1 whack.

After 6 months, I finally found a healthy looking Dragon Goby and pulled the trigger after some peer persuasion from a fellow hobbyist who met me at the fish store. At last, some help to stir up the sand bed a bit better than my army of nessarius have managed. Thanks for the nudge I needed @Raege

QT timer restarted.... again

The Squam Anthias, fire fish, and lubbocks wrasse are doing great. Still no treatments or copper besides 2 rounds of prazi. There will be 2 more soon to eliminate risk of the new Goby bringing any nasties in with it.

After the LFS, headed home to acclimate the goby. And then off to my buddy's place who hooked me up with the latest Zoa additions I have acquired. I am brokering his corals for him as he has become too busy to handle sales as well as the frags, family, and 3 dogs.

Heres a quick pic of his 40b frag tank.

If anyone would like a line on some killer Zoas and some fabulous colonies, including WWC, JF, and some insane colonies of Duncan. Inbox me.

He refuses to part ways with the 3 racks of stylophora. :p each 6inches tall.

#honestyinreefing

24hrs in with the tunze 3155 ato.

Failed around the 18hr mark. Overflowed and the alarm went off (thankfully) The skimmer was overflowing and bubbles were everywhere.

Cut the ato, skimmer, return, and poured what skimmate was left into a bucket, and started troubleshooting CSI. Due to my lack of ever having an ATO before, I spent about 20mins, in vain, thoroughly investigating and poking around moving parts (it was used). All is what it should be except for the filler hose clip to keep it above water. It didnt come with one. I just MacGuyver'ed the clip that came with my sandbed syphon hose to make it work.

After cleared the bubbles and bewildered, I said meh and readjusted the sensors and checked the magnets... deep breaths, cleaned up, fired everything back up and left the doors open. And I havent left the living room since. I might sleep out here. Haha.

Thinking back now. I am incredibly happy with how easily i was able to cut the power to everything. About 3 seconds.

Really glad I have the power console now. More peace of mind.

Is your ato filler hose high in your return section? It needs to be able to break the siphon when the pump stops.

And the outlet of the hose to the sump needs to be higher than the ATO reservoir level or it will also keep flowing after the pump stops.
Never thrust one-way valves.
I used a 60cm PVC pipe to stand in the sump where all my water tubes are entering.

The return and skimmer have an acrylic 3/4 length divider, but they are open to each other in the last 3 inches. "Pod passage" to escape skimmer... I have the sensor right behind the skimmer, but it's part of the return chamber overall. Above the water level, like the Marine Depot video described, and brs agreed. Does the wet end of the filler hose need to be submerged?

The ATO level is level with the top of the sump. Should I lower it to eliminate the flow coming out after the pump is off by default on the alarm?

Just make sure the outlet of the hose from the ATO to the sump is always higher than the water level of the ATO + is not submerged in the sump.
You can do that by:
- managing the ATO water level
- have the ATO hose higher than sump level, so water falls in the sump

I have my ATO tube hanging as well and when ATO is added, I hear the water falling. My wife does not like it, but it gives me piece of mind.
Will look for a picture of my sump as I am at work today.

I support all goby purchases. They're awesome. Also the 40b looks good and very clean!
