Is your ato filler hose high in your return section? It needs to be able to break the siphon when the pump stops.

And the outlet of the hose to the sump needs to be higher than the ATO reservoir level or it will also keep flowing after the pump stops.
Never thrust one-way valves.
I used a 60cm PVC pipe to stand in the sump where all my water tubes are entering.
The ATO level is level with the top of the sump. Should I lower it to eliminate the flow coming out after the pump is off by default on the alarm?
After 6 months, I finally found a healthy looking Dragon Goby and pulled the trigger after some peer persuasion from a fellow hobbyist who met me at the fish store.
