GIVEAWAY QUESTION
Give us some advice that potentially saved your tank or something you found extremely helpful when caring for your tank!

Let's help each other out! I know we have a big community here in the forums, from people who are beginners who just started their tank not too long ago to experts who have been doing this for years and years, let's pass on the knowledge!
The winner will be selected at random! As long as it is useful advice!
Closes in 20 minutes!
Flucanazole! I had a nasty out break of hair algae and even after I corrected the problem I couldn't get rid of it. Flucanazole does it slowly enough not to kill the fish and my tank has never looked so great!

Don’t put your hands in the tank, just don’t. Say it with me, “I will not put my hands in the tank today” Stability is the most crucial part of reef tanks, putting your hands in full of bacteria and germs is bad, very bad.

make water changes as auto as you can. I've had a reef for over 40 years and carried a lot of buckets of water up and down steps in that time. Finally found out a pump in a garbage can will do wonders lol

QT corals can save your butt from aiptasia, bryopsis and so on. Dips don't kill everything.

Water changes water changes water changes. When I am asked for advice I make sure I tell people to constantly do your water changes. I do a big water change every weekend and in the middle of the week I do an extra 15 gallons as well

Always have a quarantine tank running and ready. I've saved countless fish and corals from illness or fighting, and it's nice to have a place to put that impulse purchase before you decide what tank it is going into.

NEVER listen to extremely vocal people who don't show what their tank looks like - they usually have the worst looking tanks and are setting you up for similar failures.
