The club has a Par meter that has made its way around most members yet I can't I find a single post from anyone posting their results!:p

I would like for members to post their readings in this thread and general information about light intensity and spectrum. When acclimating frags from other members tanks it would be nice to have this thread for reference.:)

Blues 50/Full spectrum 5
150 on sand
300 at top

That was a few weeks ago. I've been slowly ramping up and need to check again. I'm at 50 blue/15 full now.

Would like to be around 500 at top.

I run 4x 275W MH on dimmable Ballasts, 4x80W T5 and some supplementary LED's.
The distribution is very scattered, so that means for example, on the sandbed I can read 200-300PAR just by moving the sensor a few inch.

But here the general averages not including the left and right corners:

Sand bed - 350 / 200 min
Mid level - 400 / 300 min
Upper level - 500 -600 / 400 min
Top level in the center where area is lighted by 2MH right next to each other 600 -800 (Here I keep some very light consuming SPS)

I run two ocean revives 13inches above the water line. I run my blues at 100% and right now my full spectrum channel is at 65%. I'm slowly bumping them up.

650 at the top of the water

350-375 mid level - were most of my SPS are

150-200 on the sand bed

Leigh Ann's tank:

Fluval Evo 13.5g factory LED mounted 4" above water surface

Surface
- 225 par
Top of rock- 175 par
mid rock- 125 par
sand- 75 par

My Tank:

AI Hydra 52
(35% white/100% blues) mounted 10" above water surface

Surface- 1550 par
Top of rock- 650 par
Mid rock- 450 par
Sand- 225 par

When I first checked my tank and it read 1550 par at the surface I about had a heart attack! I had no idea it would drop that fast through what appears to be crystal clear water. I did not turn off flow and noticed the surface agitation made the reading inconsistent.

Leigh Ann's light was right about where I would have guessed it. We have planned on upgrading the light sooner than later and this confirms sooner will be better! To be honest I am not sure on zoa/lps and par requirements, this is way to low right? :)

Sill in the process of SLOWLY ramping my lights.

Lights - 4 Ocean Revive T24-7's
Height - 15 inches above water surface
Intensity - Full Spectrum 26% and Blues 50%

Just above water - 500
Just below water - 420
Mid rock (where most of my acros are) - 320
Sand - 220

Will keep ramping and check again in a week or two.

I have never tested my kerosene light fixtures on intensity , I am planning on doing this soon as soon as I get my hands on Par meter:D

I'd like to check my par also.

Even though this isn't the ETRC tool thread, I put you both in line for the PAR meter. Sheesh! I gots to do everything round here?
