If someone showed up with pizza you’d kill them ? It’s a peace offering lol everyone loves pizza
Hey guys, I mentioned before that I'd be totally bummed by this whole story if it happened to me, I really would! But I would not go or encourage anyone to just show up at this guy's door for many, many reasons. And @revhtree mentioned, revealing this member's name and address would be a violation of the R2R terms of use, and I think most of us would understand why, if we all think it through.

The idea behind the pizza delivery was a cute idea though :) I mean, who wouldn't want tasty, hot, but completely unexpected pizza just showing up to their door.... The I-Talian in me has mixed emotions about this lol!

But in all seriousness, and in the vein of what I've posted previously here, I feel for you @VintageReefer! I really, really do!

I get that this person's area is said to not be drastically affected by the most recent storms, but who knows what else is going on in this person's life.

I don't typically share this kind of stuff here on R2R or anywhere, for that matter (I don't do 'social media', except for R2R), but my cat, Mr. Andy, of almost 19 years, which is longer than I've been with my wife, is basically dying. He's been my best buddy for longer than I can now remember, I don't expect to have him much longer, and I'm devastated.

And, we have two dogs, one is an absolute senior citizen, but doing great. Our younger dog was at the vet for a "bump" we noticed last week, and now that "bump" has to come off to the tune of a $1200 procedure, and then it goes to a lab to determine if it's cancer. Our dog, Miesha, has about a 50/50 chance of having cancer, we a are told.

So my wife and I are obviously grieving and stressed, and again, I don't typically talk about this kind of stuff with anyone, let alone publicly like this, but I am posting tonight just to remind everyone that we don't always know everyone's full story.

If I was facing a serious issue in my life, such as the problems I'm personally having with my cat and dog, I would reach out to you, @VintageReefer and let you know that I may need a day or two to grieve, but I'd put your par meter in the mail immediately after. That's the right thing to do.

I can't speak to this reefer not replying to you, I don't know if they got hit by the storm, or - as you mentioned - maybe helping those who were affected by the storm, or if they are just scamming you.

I've offered if you need it my aging Apogee 200 par meter. Please PM me, we can work something out, if you can use it.

Sorry to rant a little, but best of luck to @VintageReefer !!!

This is a pic of my 19 yer old cat Andy. He's seen here this summer on a camping trip with us because he needs daily medications, and we could not leave him at home alone.

My best friend:

Unfortunately bean is right… you never know who youre dealing with or how they would react to that! Even if it is free pizza… I think he probably scammed you once he figured out how much a Par meter is.. :( karma will pay him a visit though!

Have u informed the police in Franklin? They can prolly do something
No they cant. Trust me, Im in LE. That call/report would be pushed through and canceled super fast and classified as a civil issue and would go nowhere

I agree. And No law was broken

Best I can do is probably ask for a welfare check as I haven’t heard from them in a month and there was a recent emergency in the area

Lol no they can’t
True, I'm not a lawyer, and I don't pretend to be one, but this is a "civil" complaint. I don't think the local police will activate their SWAT team, and rush in to save @VintageReefer 's PAR meter. Just sayin' :)

The only logical solution here is:

No way she’s scary as heck and I’d lose

So “vintage reefer” the defendant says you gave him the par meter?

-I loaned it to him

“So you gave it to him?!”

- I guess you could say that

“And did you ask for money for it?”

-well no but

“And did you two agree on a set date for its return?”

- well no but we agreed it would be returned

“Defendent hasn’t broken terms of the agreement which has no set end date. Get out of my court!”

Yeah, but you get paid like a couple thousand just for your appearance on the show.

Worst case scenario:
1. Lose your case and look like a fool on Amazon prime tv in front of the whole world
2. Buy new par meter with money you made for your appearance even if you lose
3. Make bad decisions with the remaining money

What's more important? Your dignity or your par meter and the freedom to make more bad decisions? :face-with-tears-of-joy::face-with-tears-of-joy:

If I wanted to make bad decisions I’d show up in my level 3+ body armor lol

Ok, I see you're not biting on the Judge Judy thing, so here's my alternate suggestion.

Make a second account on here and pretend to be a noob. Befriend him and ask for lots of advice. Tell him you need help with lighting. Sweet talk him into loaning you his par meter.

It’s no use when he hasn’t signed in since sept 26

And no to judge Judy but I would consider Maury
