I found this absolutely amazing to watch. At 2500x though the eyepieces was easier to see what they were doing.

This was crazy. Coming up the neck there is so much chaos and what I wasn't expecting was the microbes already on the attack.

Above videos you can see them finishing off the inside of the larger cells. Here they are attaching and attacking all sorts of things and the rapid chaotic dance of, again, my kids call bugs flying around.

Their last meal before falling into the depths of the collection cup. I don't recall seeing any of these larger worms alive down there in the sludg .

But who's under attack. The wriggling chaos was impossible to focus on but in this video you can see some stopped with those cute little colorful microbes sucking the life out of everything.

Longer but some really cool stuff pops up through out.

Another cool site showing up close of the vibrio and the coccus which is what I assume those cute little color changing spheres are a type of.

Which also describes two other shapes from earlier. The larger stiffer cork screw like organism and the lighting filament like cork screw one.

"Spirilla have a helical shape and fairly rigid bodies.

Spirochetes have a helical shape and flexible bodies. Spirochetes move by means of axial filaments, which look like flagella contained beneath a flexible external sheath. "

I have to catch up tomorrow morning on your thread, but awesome stuff with the pictures..

Thanks. The 14 minute long video is what i found to be one of the most fascinating. It was closer up a bit more and clear at 2500x. I was very surprised to see them changing colors. You can still see that in the video too.
