I think that was the last one. I spent so much time at the higher magnifications I didn't get much of a chance with the oil immersion at 1000x.

One thing to note is you can change the resolution on all the videos to HD 720p if you have the bandwidth.

Jason, when you do your slides to take and view these images, are you viewing and imaging right away(like once you add the cover slip your viewing)?

Because I was attempting to make permanent slides and they aren't turning out the greatest imho..

Ah.. Ok thanks.. That solved a ton!
It's a ton of fun. I'm just looking for life and want to see it moving around. I have plenty of what I'm sampling to go back to if I need and with the pictures and video I can easily review again some of what I found. I've spent almost 10 hours staring at those two samples so far. I could have spent even longer if it wasn't near 2 in the morning both times.

Tonight or tomorrow night I'm thinking of looking at some skimmate.

Haven't touched it since 9/11/2015

Yes, that's what I want to do. I just haven't made a slide in years.. So it's like learning all new again...

This happened tonight.

I pulled from the bottom and got some black death.

And then I tried pulling foam from the neck riser area. It's a freaking war zone there.

I'll work on pictures and videos later at some point.

First the smear of death a and decay. The bottom of my skimmer looks to be the end of the line for life.

There were quite a few very tiny practically clear worms. And some extremely tiny but amazingly colorful and hungry cells.

Spent almost the entire time watching these cells consume anything they could. Changing sizes and colors in an instant.

So, then I had to see what was occurring just before this end game. I collected from right where the foam was rising and falling over the top of the neck.

It was an absolute war zone. Everything was going nuts. And under attack by those tiny colorful cells. You can see them attaching to everything. Wait till you see the video for both the skimmate and the foam.
