Here are a few options:
Blue jaw jaw, crosshatch, or pinktail trigger, marine betta, drachi soapfish, jackknife, melatremus eel.

I don't recommend them for a reef. They eat inverts and can get aggressive towards new fish.

Errr, this is what I was thanking for in the last post lol

Green chromis are pretty active, a 10g doesn't give it a lot of room, especially at it's full grown size. I would consider a smaller, less active fish, like a firefish or a neon goby instead.

There shouldn't be any issues with that plan.

Any dwarf angel is a risk, but cherub and flamebacks are allegedly 'safer' choices.

Hello guys, and girls. I am new here and i guess i should start out by saying im somewhat noobish to reefs... I currently have a 30gal running. Single metal halide 250watt. Struggled with nitrate for months but i believe i have that inder control now. I would like some opinions on lighting though. I want to switch to LED just wanted to be pointed in right direction. Heres some pics. Hood is from old hex tank.

Hi guys! I know that at times it can be difficult to know whether or not a fish is right for your tank. There are lots of things to consider when purchasing a new addition to your reef community: What size is the tank? What other fish are already in there? What inverts are in there? Is it a reef or fowlr? What about food availability? Is it a sensitive fish that needs special care requirements? Does it require particular water parameters? Is it aggressive? Is it a picky eater? Is it prone to disease?

These are all possible concerns that can come up in purchasing a new fish. REEF2REEF is here to help! Whether you're new to the hobby, or just unsure about a new addition, we'll be glad to help with advice and giving info about our new pet that will help it live many years in your tank. Of course, the tank is yours and so is the fish, so no one here will tell you what you can or CANNOT do with your own tank. We're just here to help by sharing our own knowledge and experience.

So let's get this thread going! If you're thinking about a new purchase and just not sure, post it up! 1smile1
Okay here goes. Want to add some bottom fish to my 72 gallon Red Sea Reefer. Current fish Orange shoulder tank, three clown fish, fire fish, coral beauty, Royal gramma, yellow wrasse. I would like 2 or 3 either blennies or gobbies or a mixture. Something to add interest to the lower half of the tank. I have a few soft corals. Would appreciate any information on interesting fish.

A Parapercis species, a waspfish, or a Paraclinus species would be an interesting, personable addition.

Depending on the tank size and tankmates garden eels, as suggested by Duke4life, are an interesting addition, they only need about 2" of sand, but will not leave the sand looking for food. Engineer gobies are also an interesting option. They mimic venomous marine catfish as juveniles, then change pattern and burrow later in life.
