so ive been closely following all the recent discussions on the aquasd delays and peoples doa orders. ive never tried this company before and after reading all these threads, decided thats not someone ill ever order from!! not trying to side with anyone. mostly because it seems like terrible communication on their part! then i went to their site and saw all their clearance corals... :astonished-face: you can guess what happened.... i ordered.:grimacing-face: so i guess now ill have first hand experience! wish me luck!
edit- sorry about the title. dont know what happened and i cant figure out how to fix it!

I have ordered multiple times and never had an issue ordered over 50 corals and only one didn’t make it which happens
That's good to hear, as I've read about SO MANY delayed shipments I was starting to think it was the rule, rather than the exception.

But aren't shipping delays the responsibility of the shipping company such as fed ex or UPS? The vendor has no control once it leaves the store.

I am thinking there was an issue with carrier. Liveaquria also ended up sending my 150 dollars in frozen food all melted and mushed, because the cooling was insufficient or the box sat outside too long.

LA though refunded the entire order, but it's not just ASD that had problems.

Anyhow I have ordered like 3 times from ASD and everything came perfect.

However I should not be included in the statistics because ASD is about 3 hours away from me, and you would have to be a really bad company to mess that up.

But they do package the corals properly. I would recommend them as well.

I’ve had excellent luck with AquaSD. I’d say they are the best large vendor on this site. And I’ve ordered with almost all of them.

The best private individual is by far @Leadfooted Order from him when you get a chance.

I look at their website now and then I’ve heard all the negative comments about them. I did a small order with them about three years ago and was disgusted with what they sent me. Some of their prices are outrageous almost as bad as worldwide Coral, but no one is as bad as worldwide Coral And TSA as far as pricing go, their prices are outrageous It should be criminal. What they are doing with their pricing.

Exactly. When we input the box information for the shipping label it shows us what day and roughly what time it will arrive.
If ever the estimated arrival is showing it will not arrive the next day we will hold the order until we hear from the customer about another shipping day in hopes of an overnight delivery.
Once the order leaves our facility it is out of our control. All we can do is pack the box up as nicely as possible and make sure the estimated arrival that shows before we print the shipping label is for next day arrival, after that it is all between god and UPS haha.

The market dictates the price. If it remains that high and the vendor stays in business, then other people are accepting the price.
This is one ground i stand firm with you on bean.

Its not the vendor, its the market.
The vendor had to pay the price first, and is recooping the cost of the coral.

So you hate the pricing, find a frag the size of a pea, and try to grow it out yourself and see how much time / resource it takes out to get that pea sized / single zoa to a colony able for cultivation.

The only exception i find to this is in apple products.
Don't get me started on apple.
But people want there iphone 9000, so it will be priced at 9000 market value and not the cost of making it.

Yes, I know it’s just a shame that people are not educating themselves on prices, I guess no one wants to put the effort in to shop around and check prices with other vendors
