The tank is cruising along great. I’m super happy with everything right now.

All the fish seem very happy to and all 24 of them get along great. The coral beauty and the tomini tang have come to terms as well.

The only guy that just seems unhappy is Zorro, the foxface.

He eats pellets and nori and is actually a little chubby. But when he’s not eat, he just hides in a cave. He will move from one cave to another but he never has been out and about.

I wonder if my tank is large enough for him?

He doesn’t get harassed by anyone.

Anyone else with a foxface have anything to share? @Brew12 yours seems to be out in a lot of your pics?
That does seem odd. I can't imagine your tank is too small for him. My Foxface is every bit of 7" long and does just fine in my 5' 187g system. Does he keep his color or does he grey out while he hides?

He greys out when hiding quite a bit. I don’t get it?

I feel like 5’ should be ok for him.

Maybe he had a rough childhood?

Only the yellow tang harassed him a bit and that tang has been gone for months.

My tangs harassed mine until they got stung a few times. Now they leave him alone. He is more skittish than the other fish but does spend most of his time out and about.
Since he is greying out it does seem like something is causing him stress. How many fish do you have in your system now?

23. The foxface is the largest. Then it drops way off to the zebra darts next.

All totaled about 50” added up.

Your H. magnifica is stunning. I definitely need a bigger tank.

Thanks man! I truly could not be any happier with it.

Now about my clowns........

This is about what I get to see of the foxface on a good day except when it’s dinner time.

It seems like it should be ideal for him. Tank is plenty large enough. Lots of dithering fish but nothing that looks too aggressive for him. No idea why he doesn't come out more.

Thanks @Brew12.

It’s odd. When I get home from work, he comes right out front to beg for food.

I give him some pellets, he eats, then goes back to his cave.

Oddly enough my royal gramma is coming out of its shell. After a year, he is now coming out front and making his presence know a bit.

Took my A. bicinctus 3 days to find my BTA. A natural match too. In the past it was immediate for my Clarkii with an H. magnifica.

My Ocs are always within a foot of it. We are heading out for the weekend. I’m hoping we find them in their new home when we get back.

Nems are closing up for the night.

The Magnifica looks even better tonight closing up.

I’m amazed at how it has acclimated and changed over 3 days.

Gotta love a CuC from John. I love the smaller conchs he offers now. Picked up a few last week to go with the 2 larger Florida fighting conchs I got from him.

John has supplied all my base rock and CuC for years now. I Saw the smaller conchs. I have a tiger conch and really wasn’t sure how they would mix.

I’ve always been super happy with Reefcleaners
