On the Supporter monthly giveaways they have an Acclimation Box. I'm considering using one as an in-tank Betta tank when I set up my next freshwater tank.
I have one :) it’s holding the macros currently. Nice box for sure.

Shall await her wisdom.
I consistently have problems with one of them. I've already had to have a replacement. I was considering swapping to something else to be honest....

Ok so someone mentioned a gyre would be a good addition. Anyone have a gyre? There’s no way I could afford an ice cap but hygger has one for cheapish. Maybe reef wave.
I used jebao on a previous tank and had no issues with it - other than a congregation of cyano on top of it (only spot in the tank)

I'm gonna be honest, I don't really see a huge difference in them. I always use 2nd hand. Never had an issue. What budget are you looking at?

Second hand is fine. Budget really depends on what’s available. Meaning I’d have to find one and save up a month or two. The hygger is right under 100. So close to that.

That I don’t know. I just want something that I can actually control that will fit in a 24x24x21 tank and not be an eyesore. I have an off name brand x2 and the directions are non existent lol. I’m not even sure I have enough flow or in the right spot. I figured a gyre can go vertical to help spread that flow better.

I’m thinking of upgrading the wavemakers to some mp10s instead of the ones I’m currently using.

Someone on a fb page has a couple used for a few months and so I may work towards getting those, maybe just one at a time.

I really like how there’s no cords inside,
And that will be super helpful for when I do finally get a lid for the tank I won’t have to worry about cord cutouts. Will be super useful cause I still don’t know if the spot the ones I’m using, are good spots XD.
I have two MP10’s and 2 amp 40’s. I love them! Just make sure you don’t use vinegar to clean them. It will corrode the magnets. I have replaced the wet side on a couple but it not after about 5 years.

Personally I think a gyre is way overkill in that size tank. (We’re talking about your cube correct?) Even the mp10s would have to be turned way down. I get the cordless appeal on those though. If you are considered other kinds like the Nero… I might suggest the jaebo SLW wavemaker for affordability. I had one in my evo with zero complaints.
