Will do, and that’s great to know about the fuel. Yes it smells so bad lol.

Also, if I get measurements of this hand hole would anyone be able to do a design for me? I can draw up what I want(it should be simple) but I’m dumb with 3D designing. I figured I’d just do a simple little rectangle feeder cup to keep in there.
Yes, but it looks like Marshall's got it. I'm headed out of town and won't be able to do anything until Monday at the earliest.

If you get to it first, that's fine. I'd use it as a distraction from school work, or quitting my job, or selling the house, or moving across the country. But that's only 4 things, so that's not too bad.

How’s your wife’s ankle?

I appreciate you both, and the fish will too. They’re still mad about the move lol.

Today my daughter is supposed to take me to the reef shop :D idk if I’ll try for a rainbow nem or a frammer.

Idk which would be better under the kessil.

Anemone :) this is the only tank that will house one if it’ll thrive. Once the new tank is up it’ll be predominantly acros (hopefully)

And Big Mama (isn’t she beautiful!) is very interested in the salt tank. I have them as neighbors so they don’t get as bored.

I woke up to two nems lol. I’ll check water, but I did notice it looked to be trying at the pet shop. Hopefully they will just find a hold and settle. One of them has stuffed itself nicely but the other is traveling around the clowns barnacle. Of course also close to the encrusting coral. :/ i can move that one, it’s still on the plug. I’m not sure the time frame in the 70 setup.

Mornin. Last night I noticed the top nem was now behind the barnacle (out of the light while the lower one was still in its spot. I know they can be strange so I’m chalking it up to being under more light than it was used to; the light at the store was a reefbreeders, but it was up higher and seemed to me a lot of a deeper blue. The kessil is set to some white because windex isn’t cool lol.

Anywho I hope it’ll be fine. As long as it doesn’t venture across the back to the only power head in the tank. I used to have “nem guards” IE foam covers for the sides of the Eflux. Will look to see if any are still in tact. I’ll pop one on when I get home this afternoon if I can locate it. I’ve used them as flow baffles for the flex tanks lol.

Most importantly( I’ve read this new hurricane is pretty intense and seems to be going over almost all of FL. Any of you in the path who didn’t have a chance to leave, please stay safe.

Thank you! It’ll be of great use on the reboot :) Definitely a needed addition.
I’m so glad you made it safely through the storm. I’ve been so busy today didn’t have a chance to check in and see but one I saw your reply in the Tunze thread I was relieved. Power stay up?

Happy Thursday!

The new ATO shows up today, and I’m torn between saving it for the 70 or switching it out on the 35.

So on the 70 the ATO chamber is in the sump so the pump doesn’t have to work as hard. The 35 is an all in one and it seemed the older pump was struggling with the head height.

The tube size for the new one is likely going to be 3/8" or 1/2" which might be overkill on the 35? What's the distance on the 35?

I’m not sure. Stand is about 36” high, but the bottom is I believe four or six inches off the floor. So about 30”. Then the height of the tank which is about 18 or 20”. That seems rather large in tubing size though. Is that not close to the return pump hose size?

(I am not good at this measurement stuff :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing: )

Airline is 1/8", RO tubing is 3/16" (I believe), Nano ATOs are usually 1/8" or 3/16", larger ATOs are either 3/8" or 1/2" usually.

It made it safely! Looks so much nicer than the older model. Tubing seems same size but is more clear which is neat. I’m not sure about the tank mount. Still tossing up keeping boxed for the 70 or using on the 35. For now it’s boxed.

Speaking of the 70 the temp has been low and I have a bacterial bloom for some reason. Fish seem fine, though mornings they’re under the moss. The other day no one was begging so I’m not sure if they were under cause it’s cold or spawning lol. The very next day all the small ones were out. Who knows. Moss is too thick (Thanks Orphek!) to see anyone in there.

The 35, for some reason the nems scooched into to barnacles. The clowns slew in those. The clowns were slightly upset because Selma lost her barnacle. Maybe they’ll learn to sleep in the nems. Maybe (which I highly doubt cause no brainz) the nems were like “hey, wanna live in these soft squishy tentacles? It’ll be like a pillow! Ima scootch on over here slowly just like this. *pat pat*” and the clowns are big sad cause they prefer (and deserve) the cold hard floor of the barnacles.

As an aside, everyone’s mad at me. Still have yet to make it shopping for actual frozen food and no one (other than the pallifina) is enjoying the accidental gel food bits. I didn’t realize that it was a gel food, guys. I literally thought it was a mix of all the good stuff smooshed into a cube for your dining delight. Sigh. So the clowns are not happy about the betta pellets and the macs aren’t eating anything offered. Meanwhile I’ve a pack of 70 cubes of gel based fishy smelling crap that only one species will eat cause *pigs*. I have a container of “marine” pellets but they’re so large. And oh my goodness they’re hard as rocks. I tried to smash some so the dottyback could enjoy it too and it wouldn’t smash lol. XD

Oh and I’m still not sure what skimmer to grab for this AIO. I know I need one. I don’t know which one lol. I wish o didn’t sell off the in tank one I had by Hydor :/ it was decent.

It’s been a week.

IOAOI is letting me test a skimmer for the 35. I had some issues with Amazon about my bank card (really I’ve had issues since they sent the new one on almost every online shop…) Thankfully Amazon, even with the lack of finding a phone number was able to help me get it settled. It skimmer arrived this afternoon. Super easy to setup, looks very nicely made and is the most silent skimmer I’ve ever seen. It’ll take some time to get broken in but I really like it and believe this also settled the skimmer issue in my 70 system.

I snapped a photo of it after install, and also the clowns this morning before heading out across the street.

Tuesday, I noticed Atlas was a bit swollen. He’s been acting off since I moved him from the ten, even though they spawned twice. The last spawn he swallowed almost immediately. Yesterday my worst fear has shown. He has dropsy. Sadly him being such a sensitive species, there’s not much to be done. I have given him a couple Epsom salt baths and he’s still here. But he’s still very pineconed. I’ll assess tomorrow, and will most likely euthanize. I won’t find a replacement so Big Mama will sadly be rehomed. I just can’t Lee fighting a species that I don’t have the time to keep up with.

I believe they have a skimmer that should work for the 70 as well.
Yeah I’m browsing Amazon looking. The only one I see is the in sump ( which is what I need but it seems large) and the HObs but those seem to be just under what I need.
