Pretty excited to share this one with you guys! Gold Dust Zoanthids are a spectacular zoanthid with bright golden speckled dusts all over. This zoanthid has appeared throughout the hobby a few times but is somehow is always hard to track down. We've had this piece for many months with great success and are glad to have this piece in the farm now. Each polyp looks like a little galaxy, and would make a stunning addition to any reef tank.

As shown on ReefBuilders, Mummy Eye Chalices can get some wicked colors over time. Here's a photo of the mother piece that they featured on their article. That one large "eye" in the center is now this frag on the website. You can see how the colors have changed and developed even more over the year since we took the original photo!

A spectacular zoanthid with lots going on! When we first saw this zoanthid, we were heart-struck, as the unique coloration combination was something we didn't see often. The body has a magenta-pink speckling with a slight yellow and green tint around the mouth. The speckled colors contrast amazingly on its deep purple-black body. We held a naming contest for this gorgeous zoanthid many years ago, and Patrick Wang won with his outstanding choice of "Space Jams."

Andre's Ultimate Jawbreaker Mushroom Corals are one of our most popular pieces we have to offer, and it's no surprise why. With their intense amount of green color developments and rarity, these aquacultured pieces make a fine addition to any high end coral lover's collection.

2021's version of Hallucinations and Grand Master Krakatoas, Predator Zoanthids have hit the scene fast with their beautiful speckled body coloration and bright contrasting skirts. I believe I saw New York Reef Aquatics be the first to coin the name "The Predators" back in March, but if anyone knows who gave them this name I'd love to know! They've gone around with a few different names but Predators seems to be the one that will stick.

I want one of these so bad!
If you had to rate difficulty level with the Andres where would it land? Ive tried the new school JB's and for whatever reason they just don't do good for me.
The Poletti and Kmaintl shrooms I have seem to do really well.
Id imagine these would be the same considering the old school genetics and been in captivity for awhile.

been patiently waiting for someone to post a pencil eraser sized piece for a few hundred….
would much rather gamble that than a few thousand!

Yeah man for sure. Idk if im short on some kind of micro nutrient I need to be dosing. If its maturity of tank, lower or higher nutrient levels or what. Ive tried a few different ones now and they do good for a minute and then for whatever reason fade away.
If anyone could share the secrets it would be Legendary though.

I try to keep tips and tricks on all corals for sale on the website, and the Andre's Jawbreaker is no exception. Andre himself keeps and grows these exceptional mushroom corals, and here is how he cares for his tank:

Lighting:
Radion Generation 2 at 40% intensity for 9 hours a day

Parameters:
Kalkwasser is used in an Auto Top Off.
Phophates: 0.1
Alkalinity: 7.0 - 8.6
Calcium: 380 - 420
Magnesium: 1320 - 1400
Nitrate: 5
Temperature: 79.5 - 80 F

In terms of feeding, he sometimes feeds your usual coral foods (Reef Roids etc) and feeds his fish frozen food.

It's recommended to own a Mushroom Box to help keep the Andre's Jawbreaker safe while acclimating in their new home. Low light and higher nutrients sounds like the key when keeping these gorgeous mushrooms, as they're grown under 40% intensity and at the bottom of the tank. From current owner/ customer experiences, they are more sensitive than your standard Discosoma, including Jawbreakers. An established reef tank that's very stable is a strong recommendation before trying this phenomenal piece.

Some beautiful new Rhodactus corals that have been acclimating in the farm for a few weeks now! They're coloring up spectacularly. Just love the metallic hues that can be seen, especially those killer orange skirts.

A little bit more camera fun today, with some more grown out frags pieces for a website photo update.

Predator Zoanthids
1627517103592.png

Unique fuzzy mushroom coral that we've had for many years. Here's just one of the offsprings!
1627517112310.png

Classic Blue Hornets Zoanthids, still one of my favorite Zoanthids. They've been in the hobby for so long but unfortunately like most classic Zoanthids, they aren't as easily found as you would think they are.
1627517124278.png

WWC Pink Tasers Zoanthids growing in a bit more shaded portion of the frag tank is spacing the pink colors more part and creating more black on the body and a speckled look! I thought they were Psychosis Zoanthids at first.
1627517132253.png

CB King Jawbreaker Zoanthids, finally starting to take off! When we first received these zoanthids, it took awhile for them to adjust in our frag tanks. The original frag that we purchased took almost 6 months to settle down before it began to produce any new polyps, but this might be due to us bringing it home after a few days from Reef-A-Palooza Florida (purchased from iFragit!). Even then, the amount of polyps the original frag produced was very slow.

After the original plug was fragged, the new frags completely took off! Polyp growth became much more noticeable, nothing like the original frag's growth rate. This is most likely because the new frags were grown in our tank, and the fragging signaled them to focus on growing.

LC Blankas Zoanthids looking great. So much color and brightness on small polyps.
