Kenya tree with brown stuff on it and shriveled up

What the title says, here is a picture. Practically happened overnight and the other 10 kenya trees are fine. Confused since this thing is bulletproof.

Brown stuff is diatom/algae and shriveled up likely due to lack of water flow. If water flow was adequate, the diatoms would not be on it. They require moderate light and medium water flow and will often release shoots and spread amongst the tank. You can blow this stuff off with turkey baster then increase flow
