My Yasha didn't make an appearance for 2 months after I put him into my main tank. I had written him off as dead. But one night I randomly saw him sticking his head out from a hole under the scape in the back. I can't remember the last time I got so excited lol.

He took another 3 months after that to finally pair with the pistol shrimp that I added at the same time!

He still rarely shows himself. But at least when he does he's in a more visible place now

ps ~ I was really confused by the "orange" walls in your office.... It took me quite a while to figure out you were using a lens filter lol

Happy to report that back from holiday and the clowns seem to settling in well in the tank, and the blenny is even becoming quite comfortable around them:

Also, the blenny is getting quite fat.

I've been unhappy with the flow for a while now and decided to do something about it. Moved the gyre all the way over to the other side of the tank away from Nem island, took off the nem guards and set it to a forward/reverse cycle. Happier overall with the flow and clowns seem to be having fun, but some corals seem a bit ticked off, especially the Duncan.

Nice surprise before leaving work! Turned off the pumps to target feed the corals/nems and the clowns/crabs before heading out the door, and also to see if the firefish would come out of hiding (it did not). But look who did show up (I never know if she's alive or dead)!

Even got her to eat a medium TDO pellet and not spit it out.

Great location, too, right by the side glass. If they stay there, I can get nice photos/videos. Now we just need a Symbiotic Relationships POTM contest (@maroun.c )!

Went sifting for worms last night in the Evo! Last step for breakdown before washing the tank. Took out about 80% of the sand and sifted around to find beneficial worms. Not as many as I imagined, but make sense after over a week of zero nutrients added.

Found one Clymenella worm, aka spike-funnel-anus worm for those in the know, that I added to my tank this AM. He's not doing great but moving, so hopefully he recovers and sets up a tube in the sand soon.

Several spaghetti worms that were happily welcomed to the new tank:

This guy was alive but didn't make the night. Looks like a bristleworm, which is strange because I've never seen bristles in the Evo, even watching at night with the red flashlight. Was less grey last night:

I don't know what this is, but I'm holding it aside for now:

Then there are these guys that I haven't been able to ID yet. Very earthworm-like. Possibly genus Pareurythoe? Hard to see caruncles, though. Maybe a Lumbrinerid? Possibly capitellids aka "lugworms"? Held aside for now:

Then I found this guy, which was a surprise. At first, I thought it was a baby marginella snail. I had added 2 marginellas to the Evo a few months back. What is odd is that I only found one, though, and would have expected more if breeding were occurring. It is tiny. Smaller than a dwarf cerith. Zooming in, it has a leopard pattern on it that leaves me wondering what it actually is and if it is a nice snail or not.

Have to save that Caulastrea, tomorrow, though. The pistol shrimp converted it to an arch and they've been going in and out under it all day, happy as clams.

When I upgrade to a big boy tank (6'+), I'll probably aim for a foxface, gem tang, bristletooth, maybe a yellow and a whole bunch of wrasses. New house this month though, and back yard is still just dirt, so upgrade looks a ways off. Child labor isn't looking all that bad, though...

Sorry, forgot I had been tagged here - for the worms, I'm thinking they're a Capitellid species of some variety, but I'm not sure which (you find quite a few worms that I haven't researched before, haha).

The snail has been bothering me, as I know quite a few species with relatively similar patterns on the shell, but they all either have the wrong shape for the shell or no siphon like that. Do you think you could get some pics looking straight on towards the snail from the top, both sides, and the bottom? No guarantees, but it might help with an ID.

As is, though, any unidentified snail with a long siphon like that would be suspect in my book.

Note: I don't know where this guy might have come from, and I haven't been adding anything to the tank in a while (in fact, just transferring out). My last ReefCleaners order was in mid-March and had 2 marginella snails, but I have them accounted for. Speaking of which, I should check with John about this.
