Things looking a bit too good in the tank lately, leaving me leery about something bad bound to happen. Anyway, picture fun time.
My monti digi has finally encrusted all the way down to the rock. I like this one and hope it gets branchy soon:
SPS island not looking too bad. Acros aren't dead yet. The Mystique monti cap hasn't been looking good lately. Hoping the golden rod anacropora colors up again.
How about this mess? Looks like a dump truck dumped a bunch of zoas and shrooms on the sand bed. I gotta do something about those...
Euphyllia garden. You feelin' it?
Note that the clowns are complete photo bombers.
Oddball section. Mostly RFAs, but also a few meaty corals thrown in there, a giant pink nepthea, alveopora, few encrusting corals and a pavona. I'm just leaving that corner of the tank wild--the pistol shrimp/yasha and the clowns live there, and the blenny has the barnacles so there's usually a lot of activity.
And the BTAs seem to be doing fine. No interest from the clowns, but the spotted nem crab is quite smitten by them.
Plate got pushed over about 3 inches somehow toward the "don't come near me or I kill you!" pectinia. I'm still baffled by this little coral's sweepers.
In other news, I'm at a clear ZERO nitrates right now. That's with dosing 2mL acro power aminos, feeding extra and adding two more fish (total 7 fish). I think there's plenty going in, it's just all being used. I keep having to increase my AFR dosing. Now up to 20mL per day. Maybe coral growth is starting to take over nutrient consumption--phosphates still plenty high, though. Last measurement was 0.16.
