Things looking a bit too good in the tank lately, leaving me leery about something bad bound to happen. Anyway, picture fun time.

My monti digi has finally encrusted all the way down to the rock. I like this one and hope it gets branchy soon:

SPS island not looking too bad. Acros aren't dead yet. The Mystique monti cap hasn't been looking good lately. Hoping the golden rod anacropora colors up again.

How about this mess? Looks like a dump truck dumped a bunch of zoas and shrooms on the sand bed. I gotta do something about those...

Euphyllia garden. You feelin' it?

Note that the clowns are complete photo bombers.
Oddball section. Mostly RFAs, but also a few meaty corals thrown in there, a giant pink nepthea, alveopora, few encrusting corals and a pavona. I'm just leaving that corner of the tank wild--the pistol shrimp/yasha and the clowns live there, and the blenny has the barnacles so there's usually a lot of activity.

And the BTAs seem to be doing fine. No interest from the clowns, but the spotted nem crab is quite smitten by them.

Plate got pushed over about 3 inches somehow toward the "don't come near me or I kill you!" pectinia. I'm still baffled by this little coral's sweepers.

In other news, I'm at a clear ZERO nitrates right now. That's with dosing 2mL acro power aminos, feeding extra and adding two more fish (total 7 fish). I think there's plenty going in, it's just all being used. I keep having to increase my AFR dosing. Now up to 20mL per day. Maybe coral growth is starting to take over nutrient consumption--phosphates still plenty high, though. Last measurement was 0.16.

Got it from a local as a "peach digi". Clearly picked up the wrong frag, because this one grows a beautiful green and red.
Probably the WWC Grafted Digi.

Something like this?

Yes, I'll try to get a top down tomorrow. Other side has more red i think. Interesting coral. I wonder if one color typically dominates or if it continually grows both colors.

Here's my Wrasse Wednesday photo/video dump:

This video is great. I was out of office yesterday, so I came in to an overflowing baby brine shrimp hatchery. Turned off the pumps and dumped everything in.

Sunday update on the Valonia situation:

Flux Rx was incredibly effective at clearing off the bubble algae (and all other nuisance algae) from the rocks... but I did a close inspection on Friday and found about 5-10 bubbles in the back of the tank that gets less light. I did manual removal, but I will now have to check daily to see if any of it comes back. Coraline has been growing extremely fast, so hopefully that will inhibit some bubbles from settling if I stay on top of it.

Worst case, I will restart treatment again and add some more light in the back of the tank so that they are killed. Fingers crossed!

Just got done browsing all 11 pages! What a beautiful tank and your detailed posting is awesome! Following along!:beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:
Don't check out mine. It's almost 200 pages, not detailed, and the pictures are around page 13.

Spotlight on the firefish, "Fuego". Has been very reclusive since the move to the new tank and introduction of the new fish, but is finally starting to come out a bit. Still darts into his cave the second something looks at him twice, but at least let me snap a few photos today.

P.s. That red montipora setosa seems like a major hang-out spot for the wrasses, blenny and firefish. I'm gonna start calling it the In-N-Out monti.

I've been thinking about getting the baby brine shrimp hatchery too, no air pumps just salt water seems convenient
The fish love it. And it's easy. Thought about a Poseidon system for pods, but that seems like a lot more work, and this is literally dump saltwater into a bowl, add dessicated eggs, harvest next day and the next, rinse then repeat.

My least happy RFA is on a walk again:

And I've got to do something about these zoas/palys strewn about on the sand bed!

Maybe I'll do some gluing today...
