Most critically, what am I going to do about this!? The Monti cap has finally reached the branching psammy. Looks like the branching psammy is going a bit white at the edge. How do I halt the progress of the monti? The psammy is the priority in this case.
Next exciting news, the koji wadas are making a comeback!
Now if only the pistol shrimp would stop moving the loose ones to his cave...

Mean like take bone cutters and scrape the edges away? Think it will chip off? I haven't fragged these before (or any encrusting coral for that matter, except GSP).

Can you slide something like a knife blade under it and pry up?

If you mix up some kalk paste kinda thick and spread it on the portion of the Monti you want to kill it will kill it.

Day 1 of fragging:
Didn't get too far, but will give it another go today. Derasa arriving next Wednesday. Need to clear some space!
I did manage to fish out two free-floating pieces of the koji wada, which had attached to sand bits on the bottom, and that made gluing possible.
Now I have 4 frags potentially growing. Fingers crossed!
