Are pink streak wrasse as sweet and endearing as people say they are? Also I'm in awe of the size of that rock flower anemone
I'm head over heals for them. A pair of them is extremely cute. Hope they settle in nicely.

That RFA is nothing. I have one twice that diameter behind the rock. Will get a pic later

I broke off the teeniest tiniest piece of goldenrod anacropora trying to put the acclimation box in. Found it in the sand bed today. Glued it onto a rock just in case it grows.

Pinkie update!

Pinkies are out of the acclimation box!

No aggression so far, but a bit of interest/inspection from the clowns and the blenny. Wrasses dived into the sand as soon as the lid came off and I started messing with the acclimation box. But, they were fed earlier and were not paying any mind to the pinkies in the acclimation box, so fingers crossed.

Now they've moved to the back of the tank, exactly where I suspected they'd hang out, and are eating baby brine shrimp.

I love them.

Unfortunately, the Koji Wada rescue mission has been a near disaster. Most of the 10 pieces in the cup melted, and there were two pieces that remained firm. I put them onto pieces of rubble outside of the cup, so hopefully they catch some flow and some rays and start growing again. Fingers crossed.

Cautiously optimistic about the Hammer rescue mission. Chopped off the BJD head, dipped in cipro (bleaching the dip and all waste water associated with cipro treatment) + iodine, and back in the tank.

Again, fingers crossed.

And now I'll be away for 2 weeks...

Seriously, how fast does SPS grow? The montis and stylos are running into the anacropora and the birdsnests again. Maybe I just need a bigger tank... or to win one!

And this guy's getting way bigger too. Good thing he's got his own personal corner of the tank.

The answer is always "bigger tank". Always.

Grew from a tiny sliver I picked up for $5. If I ever learn how to frag it will send you one. Might not feel like waiting that long though :)

I'm good at fragging stuff. I grab it with two hands and snap it in half. Sometimes it lives, sometimes it dies?

Merry Christmas everyone!

Last trip to the office before I fly the family off to Virginia. Going to miss my tank.

:loudly-crying-face::loudly-crying-face::loudly-crying-face:

The remainder of the pink nepthea seems to have been sweeped over to the front entrance of the pistol shrimp/yasha cave. Wonder who could've done that... Still, the pieces aren't melted, so going to let them be and maybe they attach to the rock.

Euphyllias are looking a bit better. Happy that the nearly dead gold octospawn has bounced back. The BJD on the hammer seems to have stopped, although there's still some brown shade on the skeleton.

And pinkies are still alive! They've made it 3 days in the tank. Blenny pays them a visit, but otherwise, they hang out in the back of the tank. The "male" is quite a bit bolder and swims up higher near the (protected) overflow. Good stuff.

They like to hang out near the branching GSP, gorgonian and those tufts of unknown macroalgae.

This prompted me to take a closer look at what's going on back there. To my surprise, there's A LOT going on! The branching GSP has become a huge LABRINTH. It's practically a series of arches making tunnels in the back. The green RFA is HUGE and stays open because it loves light, therefore making it kind of like a giant umbrella that the pinkies hang under. Then of course there's the nuclear death paly wall. Kinda feel like just letting the back do its own thing. I think the fish like how wild it is, especially the pinkies and the Yellow Halicoris Wrasse.

Bubble algae has won the battle again. Going at it with Flux when I get back.

We have a huge collection on the farm. We however have three varieties with frags ready to ship right now. Also, they are 25% OFF right now during our Year End Clearance Sale till December 31st.
