Is iodine the same iodum?
I’m trying to dose a correction dose as per reef factory icp but have aquaforest
Can I go 4ml for 3 days safely?

Sorry about tgis
Aquaforest say 10ml per 100ltr = 100ug/l
I have 400 litres and need to be at .06mg/l so it’s for 50ug/l 5ml per 100 =20 ml
Is this right “boss”?

I’m guessing this is also why it’s this way

Update

The toadys back to normal, iodine at correct level
Coincidence?
Sure is, if you can repeat it few more times you may have a pattern…

Don’t get me wrong, I like Iodine and I try to keep it at NSW level.

Science just has not shown direct link between I and corals. I found no articles, only certain companies making statements (no data to back it up) and having bottles ready to sell.

Do you have a picture of the coral now? I am curious…

Also are you sure the coral reaction was not due to your fluctuating PO4???

It’s just that I stopped dosing iodine a nonth ago because I thought it would have been in the triton core7 or because I was due a wc and didn’t want to overshoot it so only 1a week ago the icp came back 0
So did the correction dose over 4 days and bang it came back
I’ll get a pic tomorrow

The rise in po4 hasn’t shown any difference through all variations of corals so I guess .11 was plenty
Even my dendrophyllia that’s supposed to be po4 sensitive is happy now after I nearly lost it

How soon after dosing the iodine did the coral change?

If you believe it is useful, there's no reason to not keep dosing it (except perhaps an experiment after another month or two where you stop and change nothing else and watch for effects).

The correction dose was 4 days , day 6 I started seeing polyps
I’ve always dosed iodine but stopped believing the triton and few wcs would contain it but it don’t

Although it does seem strange that it’s just that soft coral but it is the only leather I have so may be limited to leathers
