On Saturday I had a spike on phosphate due to reefroids, was a test on that Saturday morning with my hanna tester and the reading came out to be 0.36 ppm, minutes later the auto schedule from neptune NP came in as “0” ppm
That was on Saturday, on Monday the neptune tech team contacted me with a case resolution, that the technician find no issues with the machine and all is working properly

Mind blowing
Im surprised neptune havent released a statement for the phosphate issue

Didn’t you invite the Trident and helped with the NP reagents? What’s the deal with this Trident NP tapering off to zero for phosphate? Every single person I know that owns one is having the same issue. Neptune is saying it isn’t an issue.

So what is it? Because my Hanna shows .06 and my Trident NP shows .01.

Neptune are trying to save themselves right now of course its an issue they are probably working overnight to fix it

They aren’t working overnight. They also don’t think it’s an issue. They told me today that “your trident np is working perfectly. You just have very low phosphates.” Which isn’t true. Because 2 different testers tell me the exact same results while the NP is .02-.04 off at a minimum. It was .06 off for the last 5 days.

I just tested w/ Trident & Hanna. They read pretty different

Hanna
NO3 - 22.8
PO4 -0.56

Trident
NO3 - 38.5
PO4 -0.86

I'm also sending in a water sample to triton for ICP test. In the past Triton has lined up with my hanna's pretty close
just got triton icp results. they dont test for nitrate, but my phosphats were tested at .275

no clue who to believe now. lol

This procedure is looking promising!, so
I have had my trident NP for almost a month; when I received it, it was reading acceptable, but once I performed the calibration days later, the phosphate started reading 0 inclusive when I had a phosphate spike a few days later, so this is what I did yesterday.
1 factory defaults
2 resets trident
and don’t test manually.

Keep in mind that the reagents will reset to 100%.

This morning, which my test is scheduled for at 5am, the phosphate was accurate with my hanna (for the first time).

Today 0.09 trident NP
HANNA 0.09

Do you re-run the trident startup task after too?

I don’t understand the question (technically), but this was the step I took

1 I went the the gear icon next to (idle word)
2 select trident
3 go to the bottom (initialize) and slide the factory default button
4 find the cloud with the upper arrow send it, let it do its thing for like 20 minutes
5 go again at the same area (initialze) and this time slides the “restart trident”
6 the same cloud with the arrow and send it

No manual test, inclusive the past test results will say 0 - 0
And wait for the next automatic test

I did the similar, I went in factory reset and initialized it and then restarted it.
For 4 days NP ready wrong results but on the 5th days it started to match with my hanna checker and now its exact on with hanna on both phos and nitrates.

Out of the box my NP would not pick up sample water from the tank. Turns out the hose going through the sample water solenoid valve was stuck together, and would not open when the solenoid released. Removing the hose and rolling it between my fingers unstuck the tubing.

Nitrates are reading perfect, and repeatable. Unfortunately tank phosphate is around 0.040 with Hanna, Red Sea Pro, and Oceamo stabilized ICP-MS, but the NP is reading around 0.56 test after test.

I tried:
Primes, and all liquids appear to fill and empty properly.
Initialize Factory defaults.
Initialize Restart Trident.
No change...

It this point the NP hardware seems to be working, but it appears their software or chemistry is really messed up. There are also numerous reports that using their calibration solution as instructed will make the problem worse, and should be avoided.

With all the customer complaints, it’s pretty clear the initial users are essentially the beta testers of this new product. The NP is certainly not ready for full production release at this time.

Caveat emptor

Have you calibrated it? Mine after calibration showing 0 phosphate. Nitrate is accurate my hanna phosphate is 0.19. I dont understand what to do next?
