Well, it is day three of the blackout and all seems okay. This is a crappy top down shot under the ambient light.
There is still some spots of algae but it is a vast improvement. You can see the back wall that had an inch thick carpet is totally bare. I may resume the lights tomorrow and then clear out a couple more bits.
You will notice the clone anemone is not on the rock on the left. He went deep Into the rock while I was cleaning and has not returned. The son of a biscuit looks like he SPLIT! I cannot tell if he is just poking his tentacles out of two different holes or if he is in two
LOL, isn’t reefing fun?
I sent the other split out today to a friend and the Cepitularia coral to another. It took me 35 minutes to get the split off the rock. He was one stubborn PITA! I massaged and even used ice cubes, but I got him!
I got a new skimmer to try from @Scurvy and I am going to set that up tomorrow too. Cannot wait to try it out and see if I can get a thicker skim. Stay tuned everyone!
Whose side are you on? Mine or the anemone’s?I would say 2
Sometimes mine split from upsetting them but turns out that is why I got it free. Few local people tried the same anemone batch with same result.Yours of course. After @Crabby48 experience I woudnt bet against the bta splitting unknowingly.
Are you saying if I upset them they split. How do I not upset the zuel.Sometimes mine split from upsetting them but turns out that is why I got it free. Few local people tried the same anemone batch with same result.
Brian I think this is the best update in a long time. Great times seeing you enjoying the tank time.
Waiting for it to happen to me before I get them out. I’m past due.
