I just want to make something clear to everyone. This thread is about me sharing my experience in Indonesia with you. This is as close as you will ever get to how it really is here ! I go through much work to share this with you !! I go through more difficult travel than you can imagine . Very hot , hard to take shower and use toilet here. I bring toilet paper every where I go. Toilet not like usa! squat down hole in ground type!Hard to find proper food to eat because not used to bacteria here. I eat many banana , boiled egg, fruit that I only can cut to eat myself. I have no problem with this but many can never handle these conditions from the USA! Wow what I would do for McDonalds right now! Lol and for the haters go read another thread not mine!! Anyone that thinks I'm sitting in a Hilton has no clue. The pics I take and posting for you guys while here not easy! If any one wants to talk about reef destruction please start another thread!! Thank you everyone!!
I just want you to know, I am eating a triple cheeseburger with bacon as we speak. That is all.

Jason,

I met you about a month ago when i bought some corals off you (at the park and ride off 70). I have been following along on this thread and enjoying it very much. I wasn't surprised as you told me you were going soon. I can't wait to see the stuff when you get back. I'm sure it's all stunning. Keep me in mind and we can meet up to trade some cash for corals again. Take care and be safe!!!

What an incredible adventure, experience, trip... Thank you for sharing it with us. It's very cool to be able to see a peak into how the incredible livestock we all enjoy makes it to our "reefs". I hope one day soon to be able to meet you and get some of these awesome corals. Again, thanks for sharing.

Wow now I kinda wish I didn't read this form it is a great form but I am in full blown going crazy for blue water tropical island mode!! I spent to years in exuma Bahamas building the sandels resort down there and I spent all my time diving the reefs and loving life down there. Going down there is why I have a reef tank now when I got back to lovely s.c I missed it sooo much I started my first reef tank and now have about 1,000 gallons worth of aquariums in my house now. there's Nothing like being in a place like that you are sooo lucky jason.

I love this thread. Thanks for sharing. If ever you need a helper, I want in. I'm PADI certified and I travel third world well.

And to the haters out there, JF just gave jobs to many people based on the reef. These locals will now be more inclined to protect this resource for the future. The locals there are the protectors of the reef and any help they can get utilizing this resource in a sustainable manner is a win for the locals and the reef. The mark of a responsible collector is you never eliminate a colony from the wild which is why Jason instructs his helpers to leave a piece behind. We all know how valuable JFs corals are so to leave portions of them behind is also done at much loss to Jason. Sorry to derail your thread with my rant.

Jason you almost had us feeling sorry for your lack of culinary options until that pic of the lobster. Delicious.
